With this news that our 3 HURT big men, are now officially all INJURED. Along the with realization that this team has had some of the worst conditions you can have coming into a season with high expectations ( Young Superstar coming off worst possible type of surgery for his style of play, old All-Star breaking a leg 2 games into season, Former All-Star breaking down at the knees and feet area, coach that lost the team early so new coach was hired and training camp was nothing but a waste of time). All the people in and out of the line-up, some due to coaching changes and some due to both coaches tinkering, and some has been to due to injuries. The bottom line is, when you are bringing these new pieces in, you hope they can get 30-35 good games in together and that has no chance of happening this season.

With that being said, Do you feel like you can cheer for this team to simply make the playoffs? Just cheer for them to squeak out games or worse than that play well against these tough teams?

I for one can do nothing but cheer for my guys but I'm an optimist when it comes to Kobe and the Lakers. The fact that he is healthy gives me a little hope and I think Nash will be forced to be more aggressive and Jamison will get a chance to get his mojo back and Nash can try to work his Magic with guys like Sacre and Metta.

I think you have to now. What is there to expect when 3 of your best frontcourt players are out?

Expectations should have been adjusted about a month ago.
October - Championship aspirations
December - Just get to the playoffs
January - Hope everybody recovers and regroup next year

We would be extremely lucky to make the playoffs.

This season is pretty much done.

Expectations weren't high this season, but hopes were.

Take it day by day. Focus on the positives, like watching Nash in a Lakers uniform. It's the little things that keep me sane.

for me, the Lakers play for the O'Brien and nothing else.

If they don't get that trophy then nothing else matters.

Weather the Lakers go 82-0 or 0-82 I'll still be a fan.

My expectations as were everyones the number one thing

"stay healthy"

This has not been kept, so you'll have to adjust accordingly.

Without Howard and Gasol the only positives I see is that Nash gets to run the offense like he ran it in Phoenix where he pulls all defensive attention and is looking to pass off pick and rolls because he's the only one they'll double team.

We CAN beat Houston without Pau and Dwight but ti would take an effort from Jamison a 20-25 or even 30 point effort, because we will NOT be able to play any defense whatsoever on the inside.

Houston, San Antonio and OKC are not teams that will push the ball inside. But they hurt us elsewhere.

I don't see us going all 3 games without a move being made, unless we somehow went 3-0 which I don't see happening.
