It's fairly obvious that a lot of our problems have to do with some of the players within the roster.
And a lot of you guys need to come to grips with the fact that even a defensive coach wouldn't make Gasol, Jamison and Nash into defensive stoppers nor would they make Meeks more dependable.
You had a defensive coach that had us a top 10 offensive and defensive, but you kept complaining about the offense taking too long to learn.
You have an offensive coach that has a team full of guys that don't understand defense enough to become good at it or aren't gonna be putting their effort into that aspect of the game
Because quite frankly they aren't here for that.
Mitch is well aware by now that our defensive issues are lineup wise.
if we went out and got another defensive coach NOTHING would change.
It's up to the players to understand defense and angles, it can be preached to them all day but no matter what you do Antawn is not gonna become a stopper. Gasol isn't going to hedge pick and rolls effectively and Steve Nash isn't gonna turn into Chris Paul.
You need better defensive pieces AROUND us first.
Mitch is of the mind that he's gonna start removing players because he's done replacing coaches.
So yes, Mike D'antoni's job is safe. It's the players that need to be on pins and needles.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

There is no such thing as a plea of innocence in my court. A plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty. Inquisitor Lord Fyodor Karamazov.

Management will probably build a team better fit for his system.
Pretty much.
It's up to the players to perform. They ALREADY replaced a coach. It's time to start holding some players accountable.
