Kobe-MVP level year
Dwight-All Star Numbers while playing under appreciated D at a high level
Nash- Efficient offensive creator.
Metta- playing overall solid role player basketball.
PAU -...
I was thinking last night about our age and just our woes in general. PAU is that guy in my opinion who looks old.
The only one who looks that way. Metta hustles. Kobe goes hard for 38+ every night. Nash's injury recovery speed was the only thing that made him look old. Dwight aint dunking like he used to( and the West has way more competition) but we take his speed for granted as a team and some fans do too.
But Pau is the guy who looks old on defense, whether iso or help. He looks old on offense getting his shot blocked or when he has been robbed of all confidence.
Now this isn't to say we blame Pau for this record. But when he doesn't do his job, we try and get more from Metta and Meeks and so forth. Those type of chain reactions aren't good for a team. As our chemistry develops(Big 3 especially) I think we can't wait for Pau.
We have to treat Pau like Bynum was during the title run. We need his height in the playoffs, but we gotta play through Dwight and Kobe more and have Nash take on a little more as well.
Right now Hill deserves 24 or more minutes anyway so it's best for now and if some of Pau's performances woes deal in his knees and feet, he gets that rested too. His trade value is low, his contract is high.
