I can guarantee you this. Exchange pau with just one decent bench player and have hill start and you will see dramatic improvement. Pau does not make this team better. He makes it worse. He bring only decent passing and thats no even close to enough to help this team. We dont need a 7 foot facilitator. We have nash to do that.

Do we judge effort in points? I don't.

Pau isn't playing well, but he's got company.

Not just on points.

Not running the pick and rolls with Nash correctly.

Not posting up in plays where he's supposed to be the post up option.

Not rolling to the basket

Popping out to the three point line when a team mate drives instead of making himself available on the wing.

Not playing defense.

Playing poor pick and roll defense.

Not rotating.

Ball watching.

Not looking to get involved offensively.

There's much more.

He creates mismatches because of his lack of defense played and his team mates have to compensate for his lack of defense and defend differently when he's on the court as opposed to when Dwight is there.

Unfortunate really. Because he's shown that he CAN be active when he chooses to be and shots are there for him he is refusing to take.

James Worthy even called him out on it and said he's seen Pau take it to the basket before when a jump shot isn't there, and even fake a jump shot and put it on the floor and get to the basket, because he can.

But he's intentionally handcuffing himself and just not giving the effort necessary on either end.

That kind of a bad apple can spoil a whole lot of games, especially when the margin of loss is 3.5 points.

We need depth in the bench and pau is hurting us more than helping. How would it not help us allot. I mean even you cannot not deny that when he is out the lakers play better. It took him siting the whole 4th to get us close beating the clippers but the second he comes in we had no chance. He add's nothing to this team only hurts us.
