Pau has not played up to his contract for the past 3 years...LONG before MDA or his offense.
Nice try but no...Pau's problems are created by PAU, not anyone else.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

Just play Pau at the five and get him some of those post touches that Dwight botches left and right.
As MDI posted earlier, Pau is shooting 31% with his post touches thus far this season:

That's downright pitiful. He doesn't deserve any extra touches in the post with that kind of efficiency.

Pau's post ups don't come from the low block...he has to back down his defender from farther out. That makes his post ups more difficult.
Even if Pau missed an interior shot, it would be preferable to a Dwight strip/turnover that turns into an runout in the other direction.

I'm starting to see who wants what. Seems that people who are dead-set on Phil returning find any and every excuse to dog the offense and MDA.

Pau's problems are created by his injuries, unfortunately, and he will not get better.
The offense probably doesn't help, but probably doesn't make a difference either in Pau's current state.

Pau was never a post up player. Watch him when he was with the Grizzlies.

Just wait. You'll get a "Pau still isn't close to the basket" or "needs to be under the basket at a certain angle" excuse next
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

Yep....
It's amazing how some fans can be that are defending Pau and bashing Dwight.
So Dwight "with an injured back still putting up 17/12" is inexcusable yet Gasol "needing the freaking stars aligned, destiny to intervene, Chuck Norris to inspire him and the memory of his kung-fu teacher from childhood re-emerging in his mind" for him to post up on Nate Robinson is just fine I guess?
