If the Lakers don't make the playoffs will the team be split up?

I know this sounds weird, but I'm kinda excited to see this team next year!
We will be the same, just a year older.

The Lakers have been planning to hit the market in 2014. So unless they can land young, talented pieces now through trade, they won't do anything to saddle them with longer contracts.

Kobe and Nash stay.
Everyone else is expendable.

15-18 with 49 games to go and a 46 win mark needed, at least.
They need to now go 31-18 for the 8th seed. If you think they're gonna make it you are outta yer mind.

You can't really logically look at any tough game and say, "oh yeah, they'll win that one."
I will not be surprised if something finally clicks here in a couple of weeks and they both A) win the games they are supposed to, and B) start knocking out road wins against weak and mid-tier teams with some comfort.
The problem is that they just coughed up 2 home games this past week that they could not lose, and cannot lose (similar games) going forward.
And now, they have 3 straight games that you can't reasonably predict them to win given the current trajectory.
15-20 before they catch their breath and play Cleveland at home unless something shocking happens.
