Yes I am talking about this season. They fired their coach 5 games into the regular season, and gave away all their future draft picks just to get 2 future hall of famers on this team. They have the highest payroll in the league. They are willing to pay for players. This is not an ownership issue. Now, some of you guys are going to say "If they cared about winning then they should of hired Phil". A lot of us think that Jimmy was the cause of MDA, but it was actually Jerry himself. I believe they they hired MDA because Jerry wants Showtime back, like how it was back in the day when he first bought the team. There will be changes.I hope you're not talking about this season

Have you seen the next 4 games coming up? This team won't be 500 by the all star break.
I read the posts and man this team is killing the fans. My stuff along with people saying the Lakers lose the majority of their game, this losing is status quo, let's just be 500, let's shoot for the 6-8 seed.
If any of this was said before it would be laughed out of the room, but now it's standard fare.
Sad days man.
That is our best option now due to the hole we are in. MDI said it best. Win the first round, hope we play the Clippers in the second round, and play out versus OKC or SA in the conference finals. Unless this team goes on a magical run, we are not going to get a top seed.

I agree 100% Also, fans still think that Phil would just magically turn this team around. This team doesn't have the heart of a champion except for Kobe, Metta, Jordan Hill, Steve Nash, Meeks, and occasionally Howard.

Top seed. Haha.
How about ANY seed.

They won't win more than one game against any of those teams. I appreciate the positivity but there's no way any of that is happening.

I'd rather us play 4 good teams in a row than 4 [expletive]ty ones- our focus will hopefully be there a little more. I would be more than happy with a 2-2 record I think we can and will do that.Have you seen the next 4 games coming up? This team won't be 500 by the all star break.

I don't know why you think the focus would suddenly be there. You have to approach every game with the same intensity. That's what winning teams do.

People should start to wonder if Kobe just retires after this season.
I don't think so. I still think the 2005, 2006, and 2007 Lakers teams are still worse than this current team.

We're playing Denver at home dude that's more than winnable. We have already beaten them at home this season if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying the focus will be there for the entire game, but I think they'll realize they're in an even more desperate situation now, being 2 games back of the 8th seed and 2 games under .500My money's on them going 1-3 with Houston being the only team they have even a peek at beating.

We'll see. We all know Kobe hates losing.

There are so many problems on and off the court right now. Denver is far tougher than they get credit for. They play with heart, something the Lakers simply don't have.

Pau hates it here. He's ready to move on.
I think we'd all love it if he asked the FO for a trade (privately).

Let's start with the 9-10th seed first. The Lakers can barely stay at .500 let alone get above it.
