Anybody here seen this? Very unique & original film to say the least. Now, that being said, this movie's definitely not for everyone, but if it can fit your cup of tea so to speak, it's worth watching.

This is arguably one of JGL's best performances. He completely transforms into the role. The kid in the movie does a pretty damn good job as well and Dwight Schrute shows that he can play a more serious role pretty well as well.

I think we've all come across at least one 'Hesher' in our lifetime.

"Brick" is Levitt's best work to date.

Great modern day take on the film noir genre.

Sidenote: Natalie Portman is just beautiful.

She's been amazing ever since she started (acting-wise) on that classic 'The Professional' with Jean Reno.

^ Yeah, but it's supposed to be different. They tried not to take themselves too seriously here purposely and it suits their goal & intention of the film well. I get what you're saying with the cast & all & your disappointment, but had they put more into it, it would've defeated most of the purpose of the film as well as the characters to some extent.

Also, this is just another one of the many, but main reasons why you either like this film or you don't. Most that don't are exactly like yourself and for that reason just cannot even tolerate it.

Try wristcutters, it's too bland.. but the creativity of the writers are fantastic there.
