but on a more serious note again, on the actual fim itself, De Niro is just flat out scary in this. For those who haven't seen it, I recommend it.

Yes. good movie. Suspenseful.

Some of those scenes are hard to watch. Get you yelling at the screen. lol.

De Niro kills crazy parts. One of my faves was The Fan.

^ He does indeed and definitely underrated his performance in that one. Easily one of the greatest and my personal favorite actors of all-time. So many gems this man has performed.

Some of those scenes are hard to watch.

The one with Juliette Lewis at school most definitely as well as some others, but that one in particular stands out.

Nick Nolte by the way imo did a pretty good in this as well. That scream/yell and look on his face near the end of the film when he's holding that rock wow & Miss Lewis does a great job as well. Very believable. She played the part of a 15 year old in this film, but she was 18 at the time so that definitely helped make things a little less awkward/uncomfortable if ya' catch my drift.

This and deer hunter are some of my favorites of all time. Both gave me chills at times...

It's alright.

I'll take the original with Robert Mitchum any day.

^ Twas great as well indeed, but Mr. Mitchum does not look nearly as scary as De Niro. That alone (plus actual acting performance of course) makes me favor De Niro as the more believable and menacing Cady.

I just thought the remake was unnecessary and didn't bring anything new to the table. It felt too cartoonish and actually kind of over the top funny when it should have never been that way.
