I have been wondering this as of late. As we all know the Clippers are playing probably the second best if not best basketball in the nba so far this year, right now taking it to the Celtics. Does anyone think that the Buss family may be worried of a popularity shift in LA being geared towards the Clippers now? I hate to say it but they are a lot more fun to watch than us at the moment and they also win when playing like that. I personally think its all about having a deep bench, if we had their bench or even just a couple of those guys we would be most likely killing it every night.
But what do you think....is the Buss family worried about not being the TEAM in LA right now?

No or at least I would not. It has been said before no banners no nothing in the staples center. You see kings lakers memorabilia but no clips banners. I still think Lakers franchise are still making more money than the clippers. They do play fun basketball but so did Antoni in Phoenix and has no rings on his fingers. Powers wont shift in a season or two. It will take championships and a real slump of The Lakers for them to take over. Its not like we are a bad team as of now. We have Pau Nash Kobe and Dwight.

Oh without a doubt I know that we will continue to be the most popular, historic franchise but I guess I am talking about money, revenue the teams make and if it will be the Clippers that could be making more this year if things continue to go the way they are going....

I hate living in a house with a Clippers fan :/

I can afford a clipper game. I cant even come close to affording laker tickets. Buss family is still making more money and there franchise is still one of the biggest in all sports. They have nothing to worry about.

Not at all.

With Lakers tickets and the new TWC SportsNet channel, the Buss family has nothing to worry about money wise.

Let me know when the Clippers have 16 championships, 32 conference titles, 23 division titles, and 20 hall of famers.

Edit: Also let me know when the Clippers become the team with the most wins in NBA history.

Not now, they are worried about the Lakers success more than anything especially when they want D12 to stay on the team after this year but IMO they should be, the Clips made great moves this offseason and it's paying off and they are also showing that they are the best team in LA. The future is not so bright at the moment for the Lakers compared to the Clips.

Clippers will be better in the next 3-5 years but in no way they will pass us in championships much less win one.

One good season... Oh my goodness... The Clips are balling... Wait a minute... It the Clippers... 0 conference titles 0 rings and only 7 playoff appearances.

Compared to 57 playoffs appearances
32 division titles
18 conference titles
We already know about the rings

He ain't worried about the Flippers... He probably saying about DAMN TIME. Lol

Never. They'll always play 2nd fiddle to the Lakers in terms of the LA market. A flash in the pan season like this doesn't change a damn thing. Prolonged success is what they need, but they're the Clippers, so you know they'll find a way to [expletive] things up in the near future.

What if CP3 leaves/retires and the Clippers go back to irrelevancy?

EDIT: The thing with the Lakers is that when a great steps down, another rises to take his place.

Our succession of bigs:

Mikan--->Wilt--->Kareem--->Shaq--->Dwight

Guards:

West--->Magic--->Kobe

We have never gone a full decade in which we didn't make the finals.

Buss family worried? Not a chance. If anything this motivates the Buss family to keep putting a great product on the floor.

For me, it's good for the Clippers to have success. I don't have an issue with them winning, I have an issue with their fake fan base that calls themselves Clippers Nation now.

As far as I'm concerned, the Sparks are ahead of the Clippers in the pecking order in LA.

Hell, the Los Angeles Xtreme have a title before the Clippers do.

Right now they are enjoying success and are on a great streak. They are a fun team to watch, there's no denying that. But what their fans may learn is that it doesn't matter what you did during the season unless you end up with that title at seasons end.

Kobe

/thread.

Call me when the Clippers actually win something meaningful.

Every single season we saw teams look good in the regular season and then choke in the playoffs.
