Ramona Shelburne@ramonashelburne
Phil Jackson still happily retired. But he'd listen if Nets call. Process with Lakers "got him thinking about coaching again" source says.

Ramona Shelburne@ramonashelburne

At this stage in his life and career, "Phil just wants to win." No other reason to come back.

Doubt he will take the job because he would have to go through the Heat and I don't think the Nets roster is good enough to beat them or the Knicks who have been playing well.

If proky throws the blank check at Phil and front office control I think he may bite

Nets are not a bad team somewhere in limbo between avg and elite

He won't take it. Their team is so overrated IMO and I'm sure Phil feels the same way.

No chance the owner will relinquish any power.

Phil will only take the job if he feels he can win. If it's not the ideal situation, he won't come out of retirement. He will not coach to just coach.

maybe Jay will persuade to get a little piece of the organization. But I agree hes not coming out of retirement to just coach no matter how much money he is offered.

I have my doubts about Jackson taking the job in Brooklyn.

"You watch anime?"

- "Yeah, I just got into it! Just recently, I just started watching Attack on Ti-"

"Get away from me, pleb."

No chance Phil takes the job

Unless the Russian throws such a stupid amount of money at him. I'm talking 20-30 million a year

Wonder how much nets will be willing to give up? If phil were to come he would get more than just money.

If they offer 25 million a year i can see him taking a bite. Anything less and I dont see any reason for him to take it lol.

My dad had an interesting thought today, but what if Phil goes to Brooklyn with the idea in the back of his mind that he could lure Dwight away in free agency.

I mean there's a lot of factors that would go into that such as money and such, but something to ponder.

I thought it was out of the question? Thought nets would not be able to sign him?
