Kobe won us the game yes, but he could've definitely lost us the game. He should not be shooting over 25 times a night, let alone 41 with a roster that is this talented.

Idc what people say that was not a good game by Kobe. Also shots in the paint doesn't mean its always a good shot. I saw pleanty of times where Kobe forced it to the basket. Its not good basketball Kobe going ISO and ten eyes staring at him while he shoots a contested jump shot. I

I have a question for all of you are you a Kobe fan or a Laker fan. No matter who it is they never come before the name on the front of the Jersey but some of you don't think that way

41 shots... to get 34 points is inexcusable on a team with 3 other hall of famers. Dont give a crap. 41 damn shots. Absurd... He should scored 50-60 with that many shots.

Though if those fouls were called, he would have 45-50 points on 34-35 "shot attempts". Gotta deal with the non-calls though. Dwight wasn't getting calls and ticky-tack fouls called against him. That's the name of the game.

I wouldn't put blame on Kobe. With D12 in foul trouble and Pau playing soft he had to keep shooting. The reason we fell behind was because Pau can't anchor a defense, not because Kobe missed a few shots.

And for the record, Fitzgerald was a horrible ref in general, to both sides. That's the guy Kobe and multiple GSW players were pissed at.

Which is more efficient?

Kobe Iso

OR

Nash P&R

???

Exactly. No excuses. Pau played like crap? Oh well. Dwight was in foul trouble? Oh well. 41 shots out of isolation plays is absolutely too much...especially when Nash is on the floor.

Nash PnR with who? Kobe was efficient down the stretch but in the first half Pau got blocked every time he tried to shoot I'm pretty sure and Dwight was sitting. Jordan Hill and MWP played well but that's not going to cut it. Kobe had to step up. Again defense was the reason we fell behind and it was close at the end, not the offense.

yes, we'll also forget(those that want to blame Kobe for "stopping the offense") that as a team we had more assists against the Warriors than any other game this season.

Food for thought ;)

No one is saying Kobe aint the best or is he bad or whatever. 41 shots in any context is too much for 1 player.

Heres some nice stats. In total Kobe Bean Bryant has shot over 40 attempts only 9 times. NINE.

LINK HERE

Everytime he scored over 40 points. The least being when he attempted 47 shots in 2002 agaisnt Boston only getting 41 points. That was historically known as a very bad Kobe Bryant night. Kobe has also not done this since 2008. Majority of 40+ attempts were done between the years 2005-2007.

Either way unacceptable for Kobe to shoot 41 times to net only 34 points when he has 3 good players on his team. Glad with the win. But Kobe needs to stop "taking Over" its not good for this team.

Edit after further research into every game, in all 9 games Kobe Bryant only had ONE game of the NINE (except the GS one) where he had another all-star which was Shaq in one of the games, which was in 2003 when Shaq had just recently came back from injury etc etc etc. The most recent one in 2008 was when Kobe was tryign to keep the Lakers afloat after Bynum had just gone down befor Pau Gasol arrived.
Point is: it was bad.

IF HE WOULDNT HAVE SHOT SO MUCH WE WOULDNT HAVE WON - if he didnt take those shots late in the game we would, not, have, won.

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

for 4 quarters only 4 of those shots were long shots, 6 were free throw line extended, rest were directly under the basket or at the basket and nearly doubled any attempt he made free throw line extended and 3 COMBINED.

So the majority were good shots he was hacked on.

Thoughts?

He put us in a hole in the first half? look at the entire 48 mins not just the last 5 mins. He shot 41 attempts at 39%... That is horrendous.
