So what? He deserved the criticism.
But you know what's funny? I criticized him during last night to the extreme even to the point calling it an embarrassing performance by him yet Id want no one else taking those tough shots when it counted except for him

haha keep shooting i guess...LakersNation
All-Time: Lakers are 4-2 when Kobe shoots 40+ times a game. Also, Kobe only took 46 shots to score 81 pts vs. Toronto. http://t.co/DZW519bc

That is a good point. I was saying when that Jack Taylor kid dropped 138 points, I'm sure a lot of other players could get close to or better than 138 points, if they too shot over 70 three point attempts alone (not counting anything else).
Kobe came through in the clutch. The officiating was terrible, but I can't make excuses for Kobe. 41 shots is rare and is too much. That wasn't the sole reason the Lakers were in a hole though, the defense and turnovers were horrendous.
That shot was amazing.

Yeah, Dwight basically only played a quarter plus overtime give or take and Pau Gasol, well, yeah, not much to say there as usual. That wasn't the sole reason the Lakers were in a whole though, the defense and turnovers were horrendous.

Even if you consider the reason that about ten of those shots should have resulted in free throws, shooting the ball 30+ times is still pretty bad.
I agree that he got fouled *a lot* but the refs were consistent all game long. There were about 10 fouls called in the first 6 minutes of the game outside of the paint and about 10 fouls NOT called in the first 6 minutes AT THE RIM. It was consistently called that way through out the game. If you attacked the rim, you had to go hard or go away with NOTHING.
It's not the refs job to adjust to Kobe. It's Kobe's job to adjust to the way the game was being called.
If he would have done that, he could have used GSW's over-zealous defense to his advantage and set his teammates up as the defense swarmed to his drive.
It's like he's refusing to go quietly (gently) into the night. He's fighting Father Time and trying to "mark his territory". There is no place for that in team sports. It's reprehensible.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

If he had made 30/30 you probably wouldn't be complaining we should all know by now that Kobe does these kinda things every now and then its his game nothing new.

Yeah you're right, had Kobe scored 60 points on 100% shooting I'd be ecstatic. I'd also be happy if he scored 300 points in a game.

yeah without any FT as well. Look, If he had 10+ FT, This game wouldnt be in overtime and kobe would of gotten 45ishMy problem with Kobe is him making the game harder than it has to be. I don't mind him taking clutch shots...I have a problem with the other 30 shots he didn't have to take in traffic with great teammates around him.
If you gave me 41 shots, I could score 30+ ppg too!!
Yes, 41 shots is one too many to take. He should of passed it to Ron and nash more
