Clap, clap, clap, Mitch. Another valuable wing scorer that we had is now headed to one of our rivals in the Western Conference. It was a matter of time...

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Looks like a good pick up on paper, but we still don't know how he'll do in the NBA this time around.

Watch him go Nuts in Dallas and we Laker fans will be cursing, thrashing and snapping. Dumb.

He probably will, but it's a different situation in Dallas. There he can play free and easy with no pressure. Here, it's a much different story.

I'm still pissed at Mike Brown for not using him properly.

Anyway...we need a backup point guard, right?

Bill Ingram

@TheRocketGuyA source with knowledge is situation says Derek Fisher is opting for retirement due to the strain on body and family and he's done it all.

Sad :(

It's the same thing people on this forum wanted us to do to cdr. Sign him, cut him, and call him up.

Mavs are desperate. If Fisher didn't injure himself CDR would still be in the D-league. But I'm GLAD he's getting a chance.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

You should reach more often ;)

Sad :(

He should have retired 3 years ago. He is way to old and bring nothing to a team.

John Ireland was on the radio saying he didn't buy this reason at all. Says he feels that when Fisher got injured the Mavs approached him and told him they were going to bring up CDR and asked Fish how he wanted to approach the situation out in the media.

He said knowing Fish it's weird for an injury to stop him like this so that's why he feels there's more to the story.

You can't compare situations with a player.

CDR's playing time and entire game plan and team situation there is completely different than it would've been here. Judging players that way gets you nothing but terrible assessments.

Did he(CDR) do anything today?

I love Fisher as I would imagine most Laker fans do, but the guy is terrible now. He cannot play in the NBA anymore. I'd like to have him as a coach or something someday, but never again to be a player.
