The Los Angeles Lakers elected to pass on signing Delonte West due to concerns about how his presence would possibly further destabilize an already complicated situation, according to sources.

West was strongly considered during the Lakers' 1-6 start to December, but ultimately decided the safer option was to wait for Steve Nash to return.

Sources say the Lakers could still bring in another point guard.

What I would've done too.

Don't trust they guy as far as I could throw him. He's more of a head case than most of you realize.

Calling the Lakers front office stupid is stupid.

I would of liked to get West I think he brings stuff to the table that this team is missing. I mean much rather have him as our 2nd pg then the horrendus steve blake. Hopefully our FO knows what their doing.

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

Again it's nothing personal.

What I'm saying is let it go. I know they "came at you first". be the bigger person and rise above.

I would have taken the chance. I think delonte would have been a great backup pg. But maybe the lakers fo knew more about his current mental state than we thought.

stupid FO

Yes, this is the same stupid front office that got Nash and Dwight without giving up Gasol. Our management is so dumb.

I will admit I kinda wanted him. We had no production from the point guard position. But now, Nash and Blake are nearing their returns.

I didn't want west for this main reason but how much everybody made it seem like it was guaranteed for him to be here j just accepted the fact he might wear a lakers jersey....

He is a head case and would further complicate things

With Nash returning X-Mas, or possibly tonight, it's not worth the risk anymore.
