Kobe has scored at least 30 points in 7 straight games now, the ONLY player 34 or older to do so in NBA history.

So Kobe now stands alone in that aspect, what was once just him, Jordan and Wilt is now just him.

This has been a year of accomplishments for the Mamba, but this one is among the top of that list I would say, for his age he's having one of the most spectacular years of his career and one of his best, and 17 years in that's pretty darn impressive. Hopefully he can keep it up and add to it. If we pull out some late season momentum and move up the ranks(I'd say maybe 2nd in the West) if Kobe is continuing at this level SHOULD he get major consideration for MVP?

dude is defying father time, its chliche to say but who cares cuz hes really doing it and im happy. ive seen some dunks this year from kobe that i thought we're behind him at this point in his career. his jumper is improved, his floater is improved, his ball handling is improved - all necessary chess moves to stay ahead of the game so late in a wing players career. last year #24 made me miss #8, this year tho, kobe is playing like kobe again. love u kobe.lmao!

He's about to....

Jordan Career assist total: 5,633
Kobe Bryant Career assist total: 5,549

Playoff assist total

Kobe Bryant: 1,040
Michael Jordan: 1,022

Kobe has already passed him there

All-star

Kobe Bryant: 55
Michael Jordan: 54

So he's passed him there too.

All that's left is season.

16 games is Kobe's record I think...also think that's the modern day (post '78 merger) record (don't quote me).

Impressive either way.

I believe I said PER GAME AVERAGE

Kobe's first years in the league where he rode the bench(for 2 straight years) effect his assist per game total. But If you take his entire career as a "starter"

His per game assists average is 5.04
While Jordan's is 5.3

Pretty darn close.

I have no doubt in my mind that Kobe Bean Bryant will put an end to his glorious career as the greatest player of all-time.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

I remember someone from media saying that he's the SG version of Kareem and Karl Malone. That alone tells a lot. 17th seasons and still going this strong? Unbelievable.

Sad, but true. But we, on this forum, can enjoy this achievement of kobe. His career could be over after next year, so lets enjoy/celebrate what time he has left.
