This is even more impressive when you look at his peers for this season...

Harden has only topped 30 6 times all season, and only in 2 games in a row
Lebron has done it only 5 times all season, and only 2 games in a row..
Melo has done it 8 times this season, and THREE games in a row!
Durrant has done it 8 times this season as well, but only 2 games in a row, but 4 of his last 5, so he is HOT!!!

Kobe has done it 8 of his last 9 games!!!! and 6 times in a ROW!!!

He has as many 30 point games, in his last 9 games, as any other player has the ENTIRE season, and he has had TWICE as many 30 point games in a row, as the next highest player in the LEAGUE!

All in his 17th season
Under 3 different coaches!

Hail KOBE

K
O
B
E

KOBE!!!!

It's definitely impressive.

But if Kobe were on the Thunder, Heat, or Knicks he wouldn't have to do this. Maybe he would if he was on the Rockets.

I can see why Kobe stated his scoring would only go up when Nash returns.

When Kobe is in the game, he's in attack mode. That stretch we played for 6-7 minutes at the start of quarter 2 is ideally how we should play when Kobe is on the bench.

Playing like that is more rest for Kobe. If he can come in and focus on scoring and scoring only (offensively) for a limited amount of time then we're good. If we can get him to a consistent 30-33 minutes a game for the remaining part of the year, we should see some good (better) scoring games. At that point, it's all about managing his minutes.

10-11 1st q
6 2nd q
8 3rd q
8 4th q

Less minutes=more efficient shots, higher shooting % and probably more scoring.

I expect another scoring title.

He has not had that many in his career.
He should have gotten it last year...

True.

But he's never had this much offensive freedom so I expect the results to be solid.

We all love kobe, but he shouldn't play 40 minutes per game, he's not young anymore

Yeah, I agree. I thought with the signing of Meeks he would see less minutes. I get why he's playing so much though, they dug themselves a pretty big hole and can't really afford to fall behind anymore. Need him out there to get some W's. Maybe when they get back over .500 and when Nash gets back he will see less minutes. I hope.

I'm guessing if D'antoni is thinking of putting Kobe at the 3 we got someone that's gonna come in and carry the load at the 2 on the bench squad. I'm guessing Delonte. Could explain why we're trying to hard to trade away Ebanks as the Lakers obviously like what they are seeing from DJO in the d-league.

From ESPN

7: Kobe Bryant's recent run of seven straight games with at least 30 points is the longest in league history for a player 34 or older. Michael Jordan (five in a row in 1997-98) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (five in 1981-82) were the previous record-holders.

Kobe's scored 30-plus in seven straight coming into the GSW game. His career high streak was 16 games in the 2002-03 season

Pretty... Ugly, but got 30+ tonight. Some of the shots were kind of iffy, but it wasnt as bad as people were making it out to be. The 41 shots was interesting, but in OT it seemed like the Warriors actually wanted Kobe to get the ball.

Yes he hit those shots, he also has no business taking 41 shots. It's not black and white. 41 shots is terrible at the clip he was shooting

Yes the clutch jumpers were nice, but the 41 shots were ridiculous. Shouldn't happen

True, but 41 doesnt tell the whole story. He did take some bad looks, but thats nothing new. However, he missed a bunch of shots that he normally makes, like the chip shots from 9 ft out right in the paint. Anyway on top of that he kept driving to get the contact, but no fouls were called so estenially a bunch of shots were also ones where he was just looking for contact and they ended up counting against him in the end.

Do agree though 41 is to many shots. At least he put it together in the end, but he was cold from the floor. The only thing that shoots more than a hot kobe is a cold one ahah

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D
