"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

It's down to Delonte or House
Good, because I was scared for a second when the other names popped out. I hope our front office realizes that Delonte is the best FA option for this team. But again, they really suck at signing good roll players.

Delonte West has become a source of debate for the Los Angeles Lakers, which is surprising because there is nothing to really deliberate, the Lakers need him.Since being waived by the Dallas Mavericks over a month ago after a slew of internal disputes West has flown under the radar to the point where he has yet to find a new home. But Los Angeles can change this.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

i say someone will be signed by this weekend.
I wonder how much of this is meant to light a fire under the current line up and see how they respond over the next two games...
If they win even one of the next two (a close/competitive loss tonight) and everyone is out hustling, diving for loose balls, rotating, etc. I could see it dying down.
Of course the big unknown on our end is how far Nash really is from returning. I'm sure management has a better idea that whatever anyone, Nash included, says to the media. Maybe it is going to be on the long end and they'll end up looking regardless...
Edit: screw it, get West asap; even if just for the lulz....

Report: Lakers considering adding Delonte West
There are no easy answers for the Lakers, because their problems are not tied to just one thing. It’s point guard play, defensive rotations, a lack of outside shooting, transition defense, injuries and a laundry list of other things that has what was a preseason title contender at 9-13.
But point guard play is the biggest — Chris Duhon and Darius Morris are not cutting it. And with Steve Nash likely out until around Christmas now, the Lakers are thinking of making a move.
West would be the best of what is out there on the free agent market, but he comes with baggage. The Lakers may think with a veteran-heavy locker room they can deal with that, of course Dallas has a veteran-heavy roster, too. And Mark Cuban is a player-friendly, patient owner.
While Lakers fans may want a bigger move, there are no plans to move Pau Gasol at this point. There will not be until he and Steve Nash (and the rest of the Lakers) get healthy and play together for a stretch and the Lakers evaluate what they really have.
If the Lakers make a move they would have to waive or trade someone, they have a full 15-man roster right now. The most likely candidates are Darius Johnson-Odom and fan-favorite (for his cheering) Robert Sacre.
Looks like they could be cutting DJO or Sacre.
I'm guessing DJO as Sacre did play capably tonight for the position he's in and Morris never saw the floor and neither did Duhon after a few minutes in the 3rd. Meeks got the primary 1 duties. So I take that as a sign.

Signing West is a no brainer at this point. I could care less of his issues off the court. All the matters as that he'd instantly become the best player after Kobe and Dwight with Nash/Pau being injured currently.
In the midst of all this Delonte West has privated his twitter account....
interesting...

I know the chances of your stepson coming to LA changes from 6% to 0%, but there isn't much difference there.
Delonte West, our savior

I just saw on hoopsworld that they want to wait till the 15th to see if better options are available via trade
so [expletive]ing dumb..........they need to just sign West
since the 15th is tomorrow, that's not all that long... they can still be negotiating with West in the mean time...who knows what his agent may be demanding, it might be something outrageous (agents are known to do that unfortunately...)
