Kevin Love To The Grizzlies?

nba_a_love01_580.jpg

No one is apparently more active right now than Minnesota general manager David Kahn.

Kahn is set on "making a big splash in his first draft" according to one executive, and is "talking to everyone" at the moment.

One rumor has the Timberwolves trading Kevin Love to the Grizzles for the second overall pick, which they would use on Ricky Rubio while still possessing the sixth selection.

marc gasol
kevin love
rudy gay
OJ mayo
mike conley

is actually not bad

kevin love would fit them like a glove being able to rebound and ignite the break for conley, gay, and mayo with his amazing outlet passes

thabeet makes them worse IMO

they need a PF and kevin love is better than any PF not named blake griffin. especially for a team with no post presence or rebounding which kevin love can do

on the flip side i guess rubio makes sense for minnesota but they need a big man to go with jefferson because they lose love

Kevin Love continues to have reservations about his future with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"I don't know who labels people stars, but even [T'wolves owner] Glen Taylor said: I don't think Kevin Love is a star, because he hasn't led us to the playoffs," Love told Yahoo! Sports. "I mean, it's not like I had much support out there.
"That's a tough pill to swallow."
Love was also once interrupted in the training room following a loss by David Kahn, who reportedly shoved a contract offer sheet into his hands.
"I'm not the one to always follow professional protocol – but I do know what it is, even at 24 years old," said Love.
Love missed the first part of the season with a broken hand sustained while doing knuckle pushups.
"Even people in my own organization were asking if it was a legitimate injury, people calling my honesty and integrity into question," Love says. "And that's what really hurt me."
Love believes in Rick Adelman, but Kahn's personnel moves continue to be looked at suspiciously.
"You walk into the locker room every year, and it's completely turned over," Love says. "There's new guys everywhere. And then it happens again and again. You start to wonder: Is there really a plan here? Is there really any kind of a … plan?"
Love signed a four-year, $62 million contract extension with the Wolves last year, far from the five-year, $80 million max deal he could have conceivably signed.
Love doesn't simply want the Wolves to be a playoff team, but also a title contender.
"And that's on me to do my part, to get us there," said Love, but the franchise won't have a benefit of doubt from him. "I'll have the leverage."

Let the Pau Gasol for Kevin Love rumors begin as you put the pieces together maybe Minny offered that Derrick Williams package because perhaps they tried to pull a fast one and then ship off Kevin Love for another perimeter wing All Star and then you have a Rubio, Pau, & All-Star caliber wing player just throwing an example not a realistic wing player but Rudy Gay?

Wow really. Well we can give you a "star" if you want lol. Love is gonna beone of the best players in the league soon and this guy is saying he isn't a star. The guy is a beast and he's what 24.

Mitch: "Hey Glen, I heard you don't think Kevin is a star, we have Pau Gasol. He helped turn us back into contenders four years ago, what do you think about a straight up trade."

Glen: "Deal!"

He's gone.

Here's my deadline idea ...

Atlanta gets:
Derrick Williams

Minnesota gets:
Jordan Hill
Josh Smith
Pau Gasol

Lakers get:
Kevin Love

Salaries are way off, but this is a solid template.

If Mitch somehow pulls something like this off, he deserves a statue before Kobe does.

Well we got Dwight for Bynum and Nash through a sign&trade for draft picks.

If he can get Love for a package including Gasol, that's insane.

ITs funny cuz we know they wanted gasol(IDK why)and it looks like this guy is wanting "stars" which I guess he would probably think gasol is. Its possible this could happen. I have always wanted love on the lakers. If we had a 24 year old love and a 27 e\year old dwight as our future we have will see many great seasons ahead.
