It's not a positive that Kobe scores 40+, or even 30+.

Kobe shouldn't have to work that hard ina win or a loss. Kobe should be averaging around 20 a game at this point.

I like to be as positive as possible, but this team has issues I'm not so certain can be solved in time to save this season.

Very upsetting times.

I think Kobe is padding his scoring totals right now. Racking up points in losses playing on a crappy team with a crappy roster. Waiting for Nash to return.

Nash is one of the worst defensive PGs of all time. Yes, our assists numbers would've been better but nash can only pass the ball to other guys...not make them execute the shot successfully.

Yes, on 5 on 5, Nash is terrible on defense. But what I think Majesty is trying to say and I concur with him is that with Nash, our turnovers will be cut down, which will give the opposition less turnovers and less points on turnovers.

This is a cool 70 / 30 split between the players and coaches with most of the blame going to the players. Drive comes from within. If you don't have it getting paid what you do and having the life you do at this level, then you don't deserve rings, the money, the adulation or the support of fans.

That's how I feel about this situation going on right now.

our turnovers will be turned down if we have Nash but dont thing it will be dramatic change in TO , Nash average over 4 turnovers a game. It's not just the pg turning the ball over its kobe, dwight, mwp and the rest of the team. We need Defense.

Mitch needs to get players who can defend the perimeter. Metta is too old to keep up with the young, quick perimeter players.

Never been a fan of D'Antonio and the jury was out for me when they chose him over Phil.

This childish behavior in press conferences and his complete lack of skill in fixing anything or changing anything in games or game to game situations is a big reason why I've never liked the guy.

Not saying it's all his fault, like I said, it's about a 70 / 30, players:coaching ratio, but the Laker messed up in picking D'Antoni over Phil. Even if they somehow won anything with D'Antoni at the helm, it will always be a mistake of historical proportions.

I wouldn't say perfection. The front office has still failed to provide a strong supporting bench that can carry the load when the starters go out.

He got a good team together and Metta shows he can still defend, the will is lacking for some reason. And that goes for EVERYONE on the team.

This obsession with age doesn't play. Rings aren't won with kids.

Look at Maimi's bench last year. Stellar, not by a long shot. Just about as good as the Lakers bench this year (if they were healthy).

Mitch did his job to a "T". A bench is nice, it should sustain a lead or give up only a bit of it. This team is losing with starters or the bench out there. This is not solely some bench issue. This is a team issue.

Injuries also affect a bench rotation. The PG absence is massive right now. it's not an excuse but it affects the entire team's rotation. Now with Pau out (the completely misguided scapegoat of the team), it gets even harder to get a solid rotation.

I don't see it. I see players getting past him with ease. He's been slowing down for years, and now his intelligence on that end isn't enough to compensate for that.

I agree it's a team issue, and we aren't losing only because of our bench.
