He's not better than Kobe. Future wise it might but as for now it wouldn't. Love for pau or love for Nash would do something because he improves on them

We have to think about the future if this [expletive] continues.

Kobe will never be the future again.

They now have to go 41-19 to get 50 wins, which is usually the 8th seed in the West.

Reality is hitting hard right now. This team is in serious trouble.\

Most disappointing Laker team of all time? It is certainly angling that way.

Missing the playoffs would set a chain reaction that could kill the franchise for a minimum of 5 years

41-19 isn't happening. Brutal when you put it that way.

with nash, we would have given up even more points

I doubt it. We gave up a majority of our points in the first half because of 16 turnovers. Irving would have done the same to Nash that he did to Duhon and to Morris. But we wouldn't have given up darn near 30 points off of turnovers while he was playing.

So we WOULDN'T have given up more points.

No one on the Lakers tonight had 5 assists. Think that changes with Nash? Turnovers too.

So you can't say that we'd give up more points when we wouldn't have turned over the ball 16 times in the first half with him.

It says the opposite.

Not out of reach. All really depends on when Nash comes back though.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

You should reach more often ;)

have anyone ever thought about this like Melo & Amar'e. Maybe Kobe & Dwight just can't play together ?

Don't get me wrong, I want this to work, I love both players.

At least Kobe can still drop 40+

That's the only positive I took

Is that still considered a positive? lol

hard to do when the team you built to win now has only 50% of the pieces you got :)

Like I said ALL YOU KNOW is that the Lakers aren't a playoff team when your first and 2nd options off the bench are Chris Duhon and Darius Morris.

Aside from that you don't know anything else.

This team wasn't "built to win now" with Morris being our bench point guard and Duhon starting.

So your logic is already flawed if you try to factor that in.

How is his logic flawed? This team still has the best two players on the court every night and we can't beat the 4-17 cavs. I do agree with you a little bit that Nash and Gasol aren't healthy, but still no excuse for this loss.

I'm tired of some people saying they're encouraged they came back from a 15 point halftime deficit. Yeah... that's great, doesn't matter if your as inconsistent as the Lakers though. It was great that we didn't give up in the OKC game only to come home and lay an egg against the jazz... These guys just can't handle the pressure

There is no encouragement. I laughed when some acted pleased after the OKC game. We got torched in the 2Q and the Thunder chilled the last 24 minutes.

The Knicks will kill us on Thursday, as Kobe goes for 50.

The way things have been going, look for John Wall to get a prosthetic leg and lead the Wiz to a victory with an inspired effort on Friday night - a game I plan to attend.

It's not a positive that Kobe scores 40+, or even 30+.

Kobe shouldn't have to work that hard ina win or a loss. Kobe should be averaging around 20 a game at this point.

I like to be as positive as possible, but this team has issues I'm not so certain can be solved in time to save this season.

Very upsetting times.

Nash is one of the worst defensive PGs of all time. Yes, our assists numbers would've been better but nash can only pass the ball to other guys...not make them execute the shot successfully.

Completely agree. People finding solace in losing to okc was ridiculous then and even more so now

lol D'antoni to a media person that says he doesn't focus on defense, when he had just said that he had been working defense with the players all day

D'antoni "You're starting to piss me off! Because you're saying things that aren't factual. . HELL YEAH we worked on defense!!! Worked on it all day! You're starting to piss me off! You asked me and I told you."

They now have to go 41-19 to get 50 wins, which is usually the 8th seed in the West.

Right now, only 5 teams in the West are on a 50 win pace.

Minnesota, currently on pace for 41 wins, has the #8 seed.

A small blessing that the West has slipped from recent past.

Like I said. Kyrie would have done the same to Nash that he did to Duhon and Morris.

But the difference is we don't turnover the ball 16 times. And THAT is where a lot of the first half points came from.

If you take away 10 of those turnovers from the first half do we win this game? Yes or no in your opinion. That's 24 of Cleveland's points by the way.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
