WHere would lakers stand in the playoffs? 8th place?

Not high. We should be looking to win our division and road games, I don't see us getting such a high seed any way else.

Opps i meant 76! Funny because 2008 kobe numbers was close to 2010. He deserved it more in 2010.

To be honest regular season wise in 2010 I think Lebron deserved it more. He carried a lesser team than ours to 62 wins, best record in the NBA and by far the better stats. No one was giving an older Bryant an MVP award when everyone was busy on Lebrons balls. Nonetheless as a NBA fan (- the laker in me) definitely would have given it to Lebron as well.

Problem with the MVP award is not just your stats and record but its the other players record and stats in the league. In 2006 Kobe was by far the best player and carried a bunch of scrubs to 42 wins, I honestly believe if we won 50 games he would have got the MVP, still retarded that they gave it to Steve Nash that year because Kobe was off the charts. But I dont think there was a way to justfity giving the MVP to Kobe over Lebron in 2010, it doenst matter that Kobes stats were better than 2008. There was no Lebron dominating in 2008 like he was in 2010.

We will get a 5th seed this year I think. Maybe 4th. Stretch to get 3rd.

As supprised as bill simmons is. I am more supprised hes the one who wrote this article.. Funny how it took Russel and magic to help him understand what most people with a brain have known for a while now. We've simply been sitting back, watching, and laughing as we've read your complete biast opinion on the issue for years now. So thanks Bill, Im just as supprised as you, just for a different resason.
