I was almost 100% sure Recovery is going to be his last album. He said he was going to concentrate on other things like movies, his family. He said he'll only rap as a feature with other artists (which he's been doing).i didnt realize he was going to retire

Bad Meets Evil isn't a solo album ..... lol
Never said it was, I said his next album will be his final solo album, or that was what I meant.

It was during a time in his life he really wasn't doing what was best for him. He was trying to make things work with Kim for his daughter's benefit. Was gonna put all that rap stuff behind him in order to try to make all that work for Haley's sake.
But you see, he should have NEVER tried to make it work with Kim ever again with the other twelve times it didn't work out. Even for his daughter's benefit who was probably still too young to understand why it wouldn't work between them.
Because of that Em's focus and mentality was all off and his raps suffered. Once he finally STOPPED trying to make it work with Kim and all the other stuff and cleared his mind finally from the fantasy that he could find a way to make it work with her then he started coming back with stronger stuff. But that period of time he kept TRYING to make it work with Kim for his daughter's benefit was draining him and hurting him on all levels. So his work suffered.
I'm glad he's past that now.
DMX already buried Eminem on Party Up about his relationship with Kim. I'm glad they squashed the beef, but DMX back then went hard on Eminem in Party Up and I don't even think Em responded to it. Everything DMX said in that song about him was subtle but hard hitting. Glad they squashed the beef though. Eminem even said that Party Up is one of his favorite songs and videos. it was the quickest beef ever lol. But they respect each other too much for it to escalate beyond that. Which is good and should happen more often. I still find it funny how that is one of Eminem's favorite songs and videos. But that's all good.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

thing is I think when he did Recovery(whichever one that had "when I'm gone")

When I'm gone was on Encore, Em's worst album I think.

I remember my boy Tunechi went at Emmy on there 1st track ever together 'Forever' back in 09' when Wayne was running everything. Em been hurt ever since sadly lol.

And in Wayne's own song, Em just dissed the [expletive] out of him subliminally.
Em said "Sleep on me, that pillow is where your head'll lie Permanently, [expletive], it's beddy-bye"
To “sleep on” a rapper means not acknowledging how good he is
Eminem takes the metaphor a step further: if you sleep on him, you will die in bed
There seems to be a subliminal Lil Wayne diss going on; compare Wayne’s line on “Forever”:
