Why LeBron will sign with the Lakers in 2014

-Lebron at this point only cares about rings and the chance to get more, not playing with friends
-Bosh will be a FA and could conceivably leave or join him in LA as well (assuming Bosh does not demand max)
-Future is much brighter with Dwight Howard than it is with aging Wade and an OK Bosh
-Lebron wants to be a billionaire athlete and wants to increase his global popularity. No place is better than LA especially because of the hispanic and asian market.
-LA can offer Lebron a max offer with a signed Dwight and Nash. Can also make another near max offer to another top FA in 2014 to pair with Lebron, Nash and Dwight.
“We would basically, money-wise, be able to sign the top free agent – maybe even two."
If Nash retires, cap room opens up another $10m which means they can sign close to 3 top FAs...pretty appealing considering Dwight will be waiting those who join.
-If the Heat do not get another ring this year or next, it will be very hard to convince Lebron to come back as he is in his prime and refuses to waste it away.

As much as I want LeBron James on the Lakers, I feel it's just a looong reach.

Yes it is, but after watching the Heat play 16 games this year, signs are starting to show (even if they are premature its fun to speculate). It's a little early to be speculating about this isn't it? The Heat haven't looked great so far but if we are going off of that then we aren't even a playoff team.
LA will make him more in endorsements and salary- he is not signed to a max deal right now. And his endorsements only increase with championships and market exposure. Look at what international deals Kobe gets (Turkish Airlines)...If Lebron wins he can get ridiculous deals (he just signed a massive Samsung deal) overseas.Pretty sure ging to LA wont make him much more in endorsements when he's already make 30 a year in Miami.

... Or Miami could try and nab a good FA so James could stay.

Absolutely possible. But that means letting Wade go, and that would be a PR disaster. Unless Wade resigns for a fraction and then another big FA goes to MIA. Again certainly possible, but I think Dwight and Lebron are made to play together - both smile, laugh, dance...and both are hungry.

Did the crystal ball see all of this or what?
No, Negrodamus did.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often
