Doesn't work financially, but this is along the lines of the ideas I have been throwing out. I firmly believe Gasol ends up in Minnesota.

Agreed give up that Pipe Dream of Ryan Anderson. I see no reason for New Orleans to trade him away. His young and averaging 17-8 and he spreads the floor for their future center. His there to stay.

And this would make our defense tougher how? You all just like the flavor of the month. We already lost enough size by letting Bynum go. Fine; we got Dwight the 6' 91/2" Power Forward Plus which is cool but Pau is the only True 7 foot center we have left (soft or not) Miami gets away with it do to them having 3 of the top 10 players in the NBA on their team (in their prime by the way)

there were a couple reports across the Internet that said Lakers were interested in Anderson. That is where it originated from.

I think Anderson would thrive in D'Antoni's system. He a good shooter, but he can also occasionally play down low. Also he's a good rebounder. Even with Dwight he'd still be a good rebounder, just look at his days in Orlando with Dwight. I think we should get rid of Pau and get Anderson in some 3 team deal to make the contracts work.

It's not going to happen, i think. Taking contracts into consideration, Ryan Anderson is easily one of the best players in the league.
For New Orleans, Anderson is more or less untouchable.

The only way to get Anderson is through a 3-4 team trade where we ship off Gasol to someone who wants him and NO get a young building block as well as picks. Im not sure how the trade would look like, though. Perhaps through Minnesota in a deal based around Pecovic.

Another option would be to offer to take on Eric Gordon's contract, which would be insane. Gordon may be done as a basketball player - and he may not.

I don't think NO would give up Eric Gordon. But it would be awesome if we got Anderson and Gordon.

I think this trade might work, contract wise:

LAL gets: Ryan Anderson & Derrick Williams

NO gets: Nikola Pekovic & Andre Kirelinko

MIN gets: Pau Gasol & Al Farouq-Aminu
