I approve that course of action lol

Who cares if he steps down this season? Some of you acted like we had a chance to win it all this year at the start of the season, and you're still acting that way when we're like 5 men down. All the good stuff (if any) will happen this offseason, so just chill until then!

Agree totally with this. Reality (roster) and injuries put MDA in an unfortunate position. Leading a squad destined to disappoint its entitled fan base.

Tough season to go through especially after last years expectations...but its not like its ALL his fault.

I sure as sht wouldn't want to coach this team as constructed and decimated.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick!, 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Nope), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Still waiting, wow)

MDA shouldn't want to burden any team with his deficiencies.

It's the Lakers front office fault for hiring him and it's MDA's fault for interviewing for the position.

Phone interview. From his bed, while recovering from surgery. Sedated by pain meds.

And the FO still hired him over the GOAT.

I still can't understand this.. One of the biggest blunders in LA history imo.

I still blame David Stern for screwing us out of CP3. That would have been such an amazing trade - I can only imagine CP3, Dwight, and Kobe winning titles together and a team free of Pau and Lamar. The FO obviously wanted (and did) create that team, but goddamn David Stern ruined us for the foreseeable future.

We can blame the CP3 trade all we want but we could've had Shaw before we hired Mike Brown and we should have had Phil last year and had we hired him we might still have Dwight right now.

Easily one of the biggest blunders in this entire city's sports history, not just this franchise.

First "We want Phil!" chant of the season coming down at Staples Center

Kind of a half-hearted "We want Phil" chant at Staples - but really, can Phil coach Kendall Marshall and Shawne Williams to a championship?

"We Want Phil" chant makes an appearance at Staples Center.

Sucks for Pringles to hear all that again specially at the beginning of a new year. lol.

I fully believe MDA is part of the Lakers' problems on the injury front too. They have the third highest pace in the league this season and were tied for 4th last year. Most of our players can't handle it, especially the older players.

Injuries did start piling up when he got here.

Can Phil coach Kendall Marshall and Shawne Williams to a championship?

We're talking about the same Phil that coached Smush Parker, Luke Walton, Chris Mihm and Lamar Odom to 45 wins. Granted he had prime Kobe, but it always puzzles me when people question Phil and his coaching abilities. Especially someone as knowledgable within the Lakers as Eric Pincus.

For comparison, the Lakers were only 20th in 2011-2012 with Mike Brown.

I don't want Phil taking over now. I want him taking over next season. I don't want my favorite coach of all time to have a non-playff season in his plate.

Good article on Phil's coaching: http://www.nytimes.c...anted=all&_r=1

What did Pincus say?

He should've even get a pass joking about [expletive] like this. Smh. Unbelievable.
