Dwight kept blaming MDA's system for his departure...and his sources keep reinforcing it because he knows people will buy it but here are the facts...fat Shaq on his last days had a resurgent year in Phoenix, played at an All star level under MDA's system

And last year because he was injured, he wasn't performing well not because of MDA and his system. Look at the stats Dwight had the 2nd most post up opportunities of ANY player in the league and yet he was ranked 33rd in efficiency. SMH

https://twitter.com/...360828034056192

Howard: 2nd in post ups, 33 out of 37th in efficiency for players with 200+ possessions. .746 PPP in post vs 1.302 PPP on PnR

PPP = Points per play

He'll do well in Houston but dont point the finger at other people Dwight for your departure in LA, you had your own set of issues and you just couldnt battle through them and be effective here

He just ran from the pressure of accountability that he'll be facing in LA.   He probably will do better in Houston than he did in LA because they have a better fir and hes healthier but nobody gives  a rip if he wins or not over there and thats probably the biggest reason why he'll play better

Mike Brown at least tried to coach. Brown tried to establish a relationship with his players, and more importantly, he cared for them. I remember when Blake Griffin took out Darius Morris in a preseason game, and Brown immediately got up from his chair and got a technical.

Mike D'Antoni doesn't do [expletive]. All he does is yell, " Let's go." He also doesn't give a damn about his players. Brown cared for them, D'Antoni makes them play through injuries and runs them to the ground.

And when Gasol went down and the other team scored a fast break Mike Brown had to be held back and got ejected cause of how pissed he was.   Always loved the passion he showed for this team.  You could tell he cared as well as cared what they thought.   he didn't need to have his job threatened to start listening to Kobe.

no. Howard just got stripped half the time, blew easy ones, and when he got fouled he shot UNDER 50%...hence bad numbers

fault D'Antoni where hHE is at FAULt.

DHoward played horribly in th epost and better in the pick and roll and actually the same was said about him in Orlando.

But the team looked like [expletive] with Brown.

Like they were getting DRUGG...they were PATHETIC, not even close to competitive.  Something about him needed to go and I supported Brown the previous year, but he did NOT have the respect of ANYONE on the team from Nash to Kobe to whomever.

bernie on the other hand was solid in the sense that he allowed Kobe to coach, with Pau and Howard  and Ron helping as well in some capacity. Let players figure it out

And he refused to embrace pick and roll with Nash or Kobe and only did it sparingly.  Despite that he finished in the high 70s for 2nd in the league on pick and roll finishes.  But he'd set half screens and rarely commit on the rolls.... :smh:

What Bernie did was he didn't coach them like they were a young team by not micromanaging.  This was something Kobe and Brown had talked about.  Kobe wanted him to "pull the reigns back" a bit and simplify the offense.    Bernie even said that the practice they had before their first game without Brown that he had prepared them to play that way.  A looser kind of style and it was VERY effective.   Too bad we never got to see it perfected because had Brown stayed and we went on that run with just one loss that style would have evolved or simplified more and who knows.

We'll see what D'antoni does with his training camp and if he starts 1-4 what the front office does.

I'm waiting for the year Kobe has an overacheiving team. Dirk's took him to a title. lebron had one earlier in is career. Duncan had one this year. I'm just waiting for that day, I hope it's next year to the tune of a NBA championship.

You're completely right.

And that fish smell comes from Mike D'Antoni.

Has MDA filled out his staff yet? Anyone know who it exactly consists of currently other than his beloved brother?

Kurt Rambis was never made official correct? No Lionel Hollins? George Karl?

That's the look of an unprofessional man who is incompetent but prideful.
