no firing Pringles yet. He stumbled on the art of not over coaching.
Hes earned a stay of execution to see what happens from here till game 82.

Where is the high-octave Mike D'Antoni's offense that is capable of scoring 120 night in night out?

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Unfortunately, no one in their right mind knew that was going to happen. Although 110-115 points/game was quoted, which was still absurd.

We don't need a high octane offense. Too old and slow for that.

We need a slower, measured tempo run through our bigs.

Looking back, it was a bad move, but the idea was to maximize Nash and let Howard control the defense. Also, Nash really struggled playing off the ball in the Princeton offense and i think that played a major role in hiring D'Antoni. If Nash couldn't play off the ball in the princeton he would probably struggle in the triangle as well.

My problem with D'Antoni is his rotations. Like Brown, he is player-killer. Barnes, Meeks, Jamison and Hill are just a few of the casualties.

I knew it was bad from the start dwight is a defensive anchor but an anchor cant hold off 5 boats. Also we were too old to run d antoni offense. Im suprised pau is even producing in this system because d antoni system is made for no defende and 3 pointers all game. Something we cant do we are a bad 3 pt shooting team and bad on both ends of the floor

The worst part of the Gasol and Howard injuries is that D'Antoni is getting a free pass on this season. He's lost the team's respect. He has it stuck in his mind how he wants the team to play and blames the players for not fitting in his system. When they ask him what they're going to do all he talks about is playing "small". There's no advantage to playing with smaller players. There's only an advantage in that smaller players are faster and tend to shoot better. A team of 7 footers with the shooting, handles, and agility of 6-4 players is better than a "smaller" team.

When reporters ask him why teams are doing well he only talks about offense. This goes for both the Lakers and their opponents. Reporters asked him why the Celtics are playing well he says it's the ball movement, making plays on offense, energy, but never anything about the dominating defense. You don't have to be a defensive minded coach but at least Phil always preached defense.

So time to revisit the man. Tired of moral victories and mwp stinking up the joint only to keep starting and encouraged to shoot. He appears to have no voice in the locker room or on the court. Fire him and start rebuilding for next year.

2nd game in back to back and dantonie tries to keep using a 7 man rotation with Kobe and pau out, and the lakers are one of the oldest teams in the league

The man has the adjustment skill of an early 20th century French military tactician

We can't fire him now, and if he stays for next season, the roster wil have to go thru a lot of turnover

I just hope when Kobe and pau are back we get a nice thing going
