I don't honestly care if the failboat which the Lakers are this year isn't attributed just to the coach(it most definitely isn't).

But you don't just ignore the favours of a man who has never missed the postseason and has 11 scalps to show for it, over a dewd who can only provide one thing to an aging team - offense based on high-paced athletic play(lol). Whoever made the decision to bring Dantoni to LA really dropped the professional ball and went too personal in his decisionmaking - lacklustre management is as detrimental to the scoreboard as the liabilites at the side of and on the court.

I guess it's true what they say - common sense isn't so common!

Why

During rough times like this, I stand by my team with faith and loyalty. Ive seen this before during 05-07 years. Just keep pushing forward.

This team is not the Lakers and these FO moves are not the Lakers. Magic is ranting because he knows that Jerry Buss would have done it differently. This feels like when the soul of the Dodgers ended up in Anahem a few years ago.

He is...horrible. He responds to adversity worse than any coach I can remember. Clueless, doesn't know what to do, etc...His players just absorb his weak mentality.

as much as i want mda gone. i dont think he will be fired this season. maybe after the season.

but it hurts so much watching this team play some very weak defense. the effort is not there, and our defensive schemes are weird, just looks like too many times we look lost out there. makes you wonder what the hell they practice when they aren't playing.

Really hoping this guy chokes under the pressure and steps down once again ... because the Lakers won't fire him.

Lakers aren't going to do [expletive] with him as the coach.

Wonder if MDA will get hired again as a head coach after he inevitably gets fired or steps down from LA.

They deserve their fair share of blame, but this goes beyond just playing bad. The schemes in place do not work with this roster. Offensively and defensively.

Period.

Why? Just wait to get fired, and he collects the rest of his money.
