and was stopped from winning by the GOAT.

If he has reached the finals twice(to be stopped by MJ) then yes I believe he is a championship coach.

2 Finals appearances > 0

My same reasoning, if Doc can be vastly overrated as a great coach for leading a veteran club of Hall of Famers, then why can't coaches like Karl and the Gundy brother get credit for reaching the Finals only to be done in by dynasties.

Besides the NBA only has Carlisle, Pop, Doc and Spo' as championship coaches. Think about that anomaly. Makes sense considering the like of Phil but still.

So Karl made it to the Finals, when MJ was in the OTHER conference...

But D'Antoni ran into tim Duncan, and ultimately, as time has shown

Tim,Tony and manu are simply GREATER than Nash,Amare and Matrix.

Bottom line

You're right he has been to finals only once.

Bottom line, Karl has been to finals and MDA hasn't.

Coach D'Antoni talks about his frustrations with the team's defense, Kobe's improvement, and Kobe and Nick Young playing together.

D'antoni on his greatest frustration defensively

You play good defense and then somebody doesn't box out and there goes our offensive rebound.

Seriously MDA? You helped contribute to Kobe being overworked last season and now two games back you're doing it again? Smh.

Kobe will be guarding Westbrook tonight.  It will be nothing short of a miracle if he doesn't tear his ACL tonight trying to keep up.  MDA should let Meeks guard WB.  Not going to change the end result but would be nice if Kobe doesn't get embarrassed tonight.

MDA changing starting lineups yet again:

No consistency whatsoever.

EVERY lineup with Kobe in it is going to be a new lineup.

Before complaining, would they rather Kobe guard Durant at the small forward? And we don't have Blake as a starter anymore. .

Dude.  They need to let it go.

Meeks
Kobe
Johnson
Hill

Gasol

is a good lineup against OKC.  Johnson can start cause Meeks is there now, and Hill has proven he's well enough to start again.  What's the problem?

Do they want him to play the injured Blake in a suit at the 1 just so we don't have to say "different lineup"? :)

I'm just saying. It all falls in line with West Coast's thread about the massive amount of lineup changes from MDA. No need to get so defensive.

I didn't particularly like MDA's body language on the sidelines tonight. Not a good energy given off to the team.
