If the Spurs win Stern can't say squat. IF they win.

Oh well it was actually a great game overall. Kind of don't care since I didn't want either to win.

I guess I would be the contrarian here, but I agree with Stern. I thought they should be punished before I heard anything from Stern. We also had to play 4 games in 5 nights. Did we walk away like [expletive]es? No. It's also disrespectful to the players with legitimate injuries.

Spurs scouts are gods. Nando de Colo the 53rd pick had 15 points 6 reb, 5 assists with reasonable playing time. Not bad for a start.

Stern is a douchebag. As stated before, I will not miss him come retirement.

Stern is an idiot. From a fan perspective sure I was a little dissapointed at Pop sitting his three best players, but you have to also look at it from the coach's perspective. It's just the beginning of the season. It's not playoff time or anywhere near it. If Pop feels it's best to rest his three older guys than who the hell is Stern to tell him he can't do that? Just a complete abuse of power on his part. Can't wait till he retires in 2014.

That's why I wish the Spurs had won. Then Stern couldn't say squat.

it wasn't even a blowout either.

It also sends a message to bench players to never strive to be more because the fans don't care about them or their ability.

The Spurs are a prime class organization that knows what they are doing, their bench and 3rd and 4th stringers nearly beat the Miami Heat...

Why would Stern punish this?

How can Stern legally "punish" the Spurs? That's seriously the most bizarre thing I've heard in a while...

I actually agree with stern here, the spurs should be fined. Im from Scotland and when im in America I do try to go to basketball games etc, and if I went to that game to see the spurs play away from home and those players were missing I would be dam outraged. To see the big teams play you pay outrageous amounts of money and you expect to see their star players playing. It's fair to maybe sit one or two, or let them play limited minutes but to keep your four main players out....disgusting, no appreciation for the fans who pay a stupid amount to pay his dam fat pay check. Pop...that was a poor ass move.

Pop can just as easily bench his players instead of sending them home on a charter flight. Will Stern step in and determine how many minutes each should play every night? NBA should just move on from this.

Stern made this a bigger story than it would have been otherwise.

Just like the cp3 deal
