Wow Stern saying the Spurs will be punished for it.
Popovich sits four of his best vs. Miami, fined $250k

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Stern is an idiot. From a fan perspective sure I was a little dissapointed at Pop sitting his three best players, but you have to also look at it from the coach's perspective. It's just the beginning of the season. It's not playoff time or anywhere near it. If Pop feels it's best to rest his three older guys than who the hell is Stern to tell him he can't do that? Just a complete abuse of power on his part. Can't wait till he retires in 2014.
That's why I wish the Spurs had won. Then Stern couldn't say squat.
it wasn't even a blowout either.
It also sends a message to bench players to never strive to be more because the fans don't care about them or their ability.
The Spurs are a prime class organization that knows what they are doing, their bench and 3rd and 4th stringers nearly beat the Miami Heat...
Why would Stern punish this?

Pop can just as easily bench his players instead of sending them home on a charter flight. Will Stern step in and determine how many minutes each should play every night? NBA should just move on from this.
An extra night in your own bed makes a world of difference
