The help defense was poor, but he wouldn't have gotten to the lane in the first place with a faster/better perimeter defender.

- We lost to Indiana at home with Phil as the coach in 2010
- We lost to Indiana at home with Brown as the coach in 2011
- We lost to Indiana at home with D'Antoni as the coach in 2012
Maybe they just have our number. Just one of those things where an East coast team plays us really well

We just play some really really tight games in recent years vs this team
2008/2009 L in Indy by 1 point on Troy Murphy buzzer beater
http://scores.espn.g...ameId=281202011
2008/2009 again Kobe hit a gamewinner over Jarret Jack
2010/2011 they won by 3 points vs us
2011/2012...beat us by 2 points
2 nights ago beat us on a buzzer beater. This team matches up well vs us
Right now we're losing to teams like Indiana, Sacramento, Utah, Memphis that we usually lose to anyways (Things we did even under Phil during championship years). If we lose 1 of the next two...vs DEN or vs ORL then the concerns are really warranted. Right now we're where we're supposed to be considering no Nash, coaching change and lack of time together by this squad of new players

Not really. In 08-09 and 09-10, the Lakers were 7-1 against Sacramento, 3-1 against Indiana, 5-2 against Utah, and 6-1 against Memphis.
Regardless, the Lakers have been terrible. Those teams have nothing to do with this year's team, so I don't know what that has to do with anything.
Past record or not, these Lakers are terrible.

Just re-watched that last 7 minutes. The 1st shot was uncontested...then there was a bogus foul on Kobe on an Afllalo missed layup, then every shot we had a hand in their face. Seriously the Magic just made EVERYTHING. Stepback 3s from 28 feet, contested catch and shoot from 28 feet, I know Big Baby was semi-open Js but what the hell its Big Baby he isnt some prolific jumpshooter. Just not our night, this Magic team was making jumpers that whole stretch. Ridiculous shooting. You rotate over to cover the shooters the middle was open for Vucevi for few layups and dunks.
One time Jamison comes over and blocks a guy at the rim but was not able to finish the posession off
