I just got a new laptop and it won't let me copy and paste on this website but on Facebook, etc it lets me? I can't hit the enter button either... Help??

Are you able to bring up the right-click menu in the post box? Does it have the option to Paste?

Go copy something from this site (a post), and then paste it into the post box by using CTRL+V. See if that does it.

Why must we use CTRL+V to paste now though? Why not like before so easily when you just right clicked and the option appeared? Is there any way to make it easier/more convenient? Maybe even just CTRL without the V?

who uses right click nowadays? ctrl-v is much faster.

Hmmm, guess I'm old-fashioned, my apologies. All my years here and before on some other Laker site, I did the right click until this most recent change to the site where that option is completely disabled now it seems. It's okay. I'll adjust to the change I suppose, have no choice, just wish the option were available somehow preferrably.

who said it was disabled? you can still use it lol. this problem applies to op, not all of us.

Try hitting "Toggle Edit Mode"



And then try pasting with right click. Sometimes RTE may act funky if you have something that is messing with the javascript.

I always tell my parents, "whatever works best for you." Using keyboard shortcuts has shown to be more efficient in the long run, so for that reason it may be worth giving a shot. If right clicking and hitting paste works best for you, do it, that option should not be disabled from this board. I can still do it.
