I found that this trade will be relatively good for us, since we need a back up PG, and Rudy Gay is a very explosive player. I really feel that Rudy is highly underrated as a player, and a lot of times he's being looked over. He might bring the excitement this team needs.
I know Atlanta is not amenable to trading with us, but perhaps with a third team in play, they might rethink it a bit.
Thoughts?
IDEA: Pau to Atlanta, Josh Smith to Memphis, Rudy Gay and Jeff Teague to the Lakers

one of the main reasons the hawks let JJ go, aside from his ridiculous contract, was to get the ball into the hands of jeff teague. i don't see them trading him anytime soon.
would be [expletive]ing nice tho!

1. hawks dont want gasol. Been said many many times people for some reason just dont want to believe it.
2.memphis wouldn't give up gay for smith when they already have Zach Randolph
This really would only benefit us. Would in no way benefit any of the other teams.

If Atlanta dont want to do a Pau for Josh Smith deal, what makes you thing they'd want to do a Pau for Josh Smith AND Teague deal?
I think we should do this instead:
Pau and Jordan Hill for Josh Smith, Kyle Korver and Devin Harris. They save money, get a good veteran to pair with Horford in the frontcourt and a cheap, young big in Hill. We get a back-up pg, a starting 4 and a back-up SF. After this deal we then sign Kenyon Martin for the Vets minimum.
PG Nash / Harris
SG Kobe / Meeks
SF Metta / Korver
PF Smith / Jamison
C Howard / K-Mart

Grizz are stacked at bigs, why would they want Smith when Gay is ideal at the 3?
