Can Non-Registered Users View Off-Topic Now?

why do you even want them to see the topic? does it matter for non registered users? just make an account.
Well now I see that they can view certain portions of it like all of the sections: Movies & Television, Music, Technology, Etc. but not the pure off-topic portion itself. Was it always like that before?

When I set up the board, I actually had the forum AND subforums blocked for guests, but I'm assuming one of the other guys jumped in and changed permissions somewhere down the road to improve standings in search engines (more content, maybe). We just never wanted to make the actual OT available to guests (well, bots) so we can tighten privacy. In the video games subforum, for example, you really won't read the things you could access about a person's personal life in, say, the off-topic's random thread.
No, they can't view the OT section. I think I'll fix the permission to disallow viewing the subforums as well. Never really understood why the permissions were checked off for that.
Honestly, it really doesn't matter to me (the viewing of the subforums). Never really did, either way.
