Can't afford to have a 20 million dollar bench player. Jamison is a better fit with the bench because he has a score first mentality. Pau has a pass first mentality therefore he is a better fit with the starting unit.

i think that Pau has adopted that role because hes in the 1st unit,,,,which really doesnt need him,,, the bench needs a scorer, and the first unit needs another shooter paired with nash..

Gasol isn't agressive enough to really lead the scoring for the 2nd unit, it's one of those rare times you wish a player was more selfish and looked to get his own first more often.

kobe hasn't been playing stellar defense lately

Holding all opponents to an average of 44% FG, and an allowed PER of just 9.8...may be the best I've seen in years from any player I've ever looked up, actually.

LeBron, last season, logged 46.4% allowed FG%, and a 10.6 allowed PER, and was nearly DPOY.

So much for people saying Kobe's defense is "reputation only" eh?

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Kobe's playing better defense because Dwight is here. Not just presence but the game is easier for him

Will it last? I think it will when Nash gets back his load gets even smaller

Gasol could have put up 25-10 in his prime if he had a different mentality. Hell I wouldn't put 30-10 past him talent wise

12 shots a game as a #1 option in Memphis. Ridiculous. Should have been at 17-20

Kobe has been impressive defensively as he has been offensively which says alot because he's been very efficient on offense.

thats exactly why his good D will continue, his load will get smaller. and Nash's D should improve a little as well, because kobe/dwight will have bigger roles(more iso's) than any players Nash's played with
