Pau Gasol for Amare straight up? Obviously Amare is having issues in NYC with that team rolling so im sure Melo would have no issue with Gasol - passive player - coming into the new team and them getting rid of Amare.

I know his defence is not the best but if he is fully recovered what do you think?

no he's not, are u kidding? they're equally terrible. he gets lost on d every time down the floor, often gets beat off the dribble even tho he's quick as [expletive], and is an undersized pf who's quickly losing his physical prowess.

I'll take this deal in heartbeat. They're both terrible at defending, but Stoud is a great shooter, great in the pick and roll definitely with Nash, he can run the floor. I been waiting to see his post moves too. Long as he gives full effort to play defense, and rotate to dwight's man when they switch i'm cool, Howard can hide some of it too, but being so athletic and quick I dont know how his defense suck. Plus, Stoud is not oversized PF dude is 6'11 260.

Wouldn't do this deal if it's straight up. It's too risky, with Amaré's knees perhaps being gone and all - but he would fit nicely into the system as a pick-and-pop guy. The biggest problem is his contract, which would limit our options going forward.
As it is right now, we have only Nash and possibly/hopefully Howard on contract in the 2014/15 season as well as about 30 million in cap-space, which could be used to sign another all-star (or two). In 14/15 Amare is owed 24 million and we wouldn't be able to sign anyone.

If however they would take on Metta as well and throw in Brewer and Novak - then i'd think about it. But they wouldn't break up what they have right now.
