Evans was fined $5,000 for his second flopping offense, a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday.
Under the NBA's new policy, players get one warming for flopping before an escalation of fines for ensuing flops is instituted. The league office identified an instance of flopping on Evans in the Nets' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.
In the demonstration video shown to players in the preseason, Evans was what one league executive called, "the star."
A third violation of the flopping rule would cost Evans $10,000, a fourth $15,000 and a fifth $35,000. Beginning with a sixth violation, the NBA could suspend a player.

I Saw the Play and MWP got the Foul.. MWP barely touch him and Evans went off acting like MWP gave him a Big shoved.
MWP looked at the Ref..You got to be kidding me..
Clearly Evans fake it to get a foul..

Best thing to happen to the NBA since the 3 point line
FINE THE FLOPPERS!!!
I say harsher fines, add a zero to the fine each time!

our rookies are making around...what? 500K
take away 5K? no big deal to them.
Like vee said, it's about the reputation more than anything.
Pau Gasol's overpaid ass is not going to care about losing 5K for flopping

So what do you think they just have 500k all at once huh? and that they don't pay any bills or use their money to live the lifestyle they do???
Jeremy Lin was living with Landry Fields at one point in his career and he was on the bare minimum so please stop saying "oh their contract is "Blank" that's nothing" because they get that money spread out and just like anybody else if they are paying 5000 dollars making under a mill that will definitely hurt their pockets for that paycheck or whatever... they will be able to pay it fine but it will affect their pockets

500K is 500K...end of story.
"Lifestyle"??? lol. Most adults know how to live within their means and those that don't reap what they sow. if you're making 500K a year then you should have enough common sense to know you can't ball like Kobe.
5K...what is that? 1% of a rookie contract.

Evans makes 1.3m, players get a check once every 2 weeks, that's almost a 100k check for Evans. Minus, what? 5k? Big deal.
