What do we do with our so unproductive bench. Besides Hill (whom I have the highest respect for and love his game) the rest do nothing for us. What do we do with this? How can we improve our bench? Do you think Mitch is going to do something about it before the trade deadline....but I just don't see any teams wanting players from our crappy bench unless we include Pau but I do not want to lose him. He's a terrific skilled 7ft player who can pass the ball.

Its definitely a tricky one.

Any thoughts?

Lets give it some time to get our new offense implemented and all that. I think something we are forgetting is Brooklyn is probably the best defensive team we have played this season so far.

Bench is atrocious.. 8 points from the entire bench... At this point im all for Having Blake Morris playign the 1 and 2 off teh bench when Nash is back...

I don't see any huge moves being made to our bench. Possibly the addition of a free agent shooter, such as Matt Carroll, who has really one use and that is to shoot the three. I think they will wait until Nash comes back to see how he creates shots for the guys.

We could have had a pretty good bench if we had stopped cutting decent young players like CDR, Green, and Glock.
Super cheap players that could have added depth.

I agree with the CDR comment, such a mistake dropping him. He looked like a great upcoming player.

Jamison shooting 37% from the field, 26% from 3. Meeks shooting 30% from the field, 25% from 3.

The bench does NOT need youth. What it needs is someone who can create a shot or run the wings.

Ebanks, Blake, Clark are expendable. Not sure you can get anything for them, but those are your shoppable pieces.

Youth is not the answer for the bench at all.

Meeks is fine. The problem is he isn't playing off the ball. He needs to be told to pass and move. When he touches the ball it's either dying with him or he jacks up an ill-advised shot. This can be fixed.

Jamison needs consistent time and to be told what the Lakers need from him.

Hill is great. Duhon is playing above expectations. Morris is improving. Those 5 are fine.

CDR dropped 49/7/8/3 couple days ago .. The guy could add to the bench, worst case he wont be as bad as our bench production

Hill is fine. He is our best bench player.

Jaminson is horrible though. The guy has been pissing me off so much. Cant shoot, cant play D on anyone. He is an ok rebounder but that is about it.

Meeks is streaky. What his %'s are right now may be totaly different later on and MD is using his better where he is just there to shoot and if e's off he wont play. If anything I wish we used morris in the same way. Morris is a pretty good shooter. I dont think he can be a true pg though.

The bench is looking better and at time looking great. We have a streaky bench really. The only consistant bench player is Hill. Some games our bench will play great others horribly. Not much you can do. Jaminson and Meeks are here to stay I will bet that. Steve has little trade value and even if traded we wont get really anything good in return. Duhon is even worse than blake and will be nearly impossible to trade for anything let alone a good back up. A package deal is even more unlikely I mean who would give a us goof 8 mill player for duhon and blake.

This is most likely our bench unless somthing impossible happens and one of the teams gm's goes crazy. Just because you want them gone doesn't mean anyone will take them.

As much as you hate CDR and feel he's done absolutely nothing in his NBA career (which is insane), he can actually do those things. Still frustrating to me that they picked Ebanks over him as well as others (to some extent). I realize and am well aware that I nor anyone will ever change your mind whatsoever on him, but the fact of the matter is I can legitimately say I've follwowed the guy throughout the years on league pass enough to feel secure about my stance on him and some of the things he can do on the basketball court.

Nice way to put words into my mouth. I don't hate CDR. You guys are overblowing his skill something fierce.

If he was this much of a sure thing he wouldn't be struggling to find an NBA gig.
