ESPN put a picture 3 nights ago and I think it is like that:

1. Kevin Garnett
2. Metta World Peace
3. Zach Randolph
4. Kendrick Perkins
5. Tony Allen

What do you think? Which of those guys would you have on your team(exept MWP :) )

Garnett isn't tough .. He's picking on smaller guys and when someone his size stands up to him he runs off like a little [expletive]

1. Metta
2. Kobe

KG definitely doesn't belong on the list, let alone number 1...

I'd say..
Ron Artest
Stephen Jackson
Tyson Chandler
Kobe Bryant
Kendrick Perkins

They all seem like they've done their fair share of intimidating everyone in the league.

KG does deserve to be on that list. Maybe not #1, but he is definitely one of the league's toughest players, despite his age.

KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.

Depends on how you define "toughest". A guy like Kobe (if there is such a thing) is mentally tough, can't be shook or punked or rattled. But I don't think of "tough" like that.

I'd definitely go Ron Ron, Captain Jack, Perk, Z-Bo, and Tony Allen.

Blasphemy ! He's known for being a warrior and playing through all kinds of injuries. He's as tough as an athlete can get. He's also a fierce competitor and a cold blooded assassin. He can't be intimidated by anybody ..

Tough as in playing through injuries or in tough as in they would actually fight someone?

Tough to me doesn't just extend to "I don't want to run into them on a dark alley"

Kobe considering what he's played through and his tolerance through pain to still do what he does, if he isn't top 3 on the toughest of all time list the list isn't legit.

There's a difference between tough as in "I'd never want to fight him" and tough as in "Dang that guy is a tough warrior."

Kobe and Iverson both come to mind when I think of that, Metta and Z Bo's toughness does too in the 'id never want to run into them in a dark alley and if I was in a dark alley I'd like to have one or the other with me' kind of way.

W/o a doubt Kobe is one the toughest ever!! He has played through so so many injuries that many players would've sat out like 4 weeks.

1.KOBE
2.Tony Allen
3. MWP
4. Z-bo
5. Stephen Jax

Honorary Mention
Steve Blake

In what sense? I remember watching Joakim Noah spraining his ankle kind of badly in a game and he kept playing on it for several minutes, limping the whole way. He told the coach he wanted to stay.

They inevitably pulled him off the court though.
