Championship teams have a mixture of veterans and young players I doubt we can win with just all old players..... I want someone to name a team that won a championship with no young role players or young star

Judging by your logic, we'll be okay. We have a young star in Dwight Howard.

Dallas Mavs had Jose Barea coming off the bench and Tyson Chandler being a defensive Anchor where what they need to push them into the playoffs they've had the same players for a while but they needed that inside presence and somebody changing the dynamic coming off the bench

Blake has done that 2 or 3 times JUST THIS SEASON and we've played under 10 games (10 games including todays) and 4 of those games where he has played 30-40 minutes he didn't break double digit points or in the assists column... I don't understand how he is lighting it up or having a good season when he has still not registered a double digit game with extended minutes?

Still an old team.

Blake has registered one game with a double digit stat. He is a backup pg ....and he is playing alright for a backup pg. Its not like Morris is lighting it up either.

So glad Morris is starting tonight. Blake can stay out for all I care. The more burn Morris gets with starters, the more confidence he'll have and the more his teammates will trust him

Happened 10/24/12. The same amount of double digit games that Morris has had.

No he isn't ......so prove it instead of saying the same things over and over "Morris is better do you even watch basketball".

Its getting old.

I'd like to see what Blake can do in the new system. He's a good 3 pt shooter and just seems like a better fit. If not let's stick with Morris

Since were stating games that don't count and they're this year. Darius Morris had 4 Double Digit games in Summer League, including a 18 point game where he had 8 assists as well.

Selective memory.

To me summer league is a gaze into someones potential 'potential', pre-season is practicing putting it into action to see if you're cut out for the real thing, and the NBA is pretty much your stage to show what you've got.

Summer league is like pong
Pre-season is like Tennis with friends who may be pros
NBA is like Wimbledon

Yes I was impressed with a couple of his summer league games... but I wouldn't use any of that in a argument for if he should be getting playing time NOW after seeing him get significant minutes for the first time in his career. In the regular season Blake has had extended minutes and not produced. Morris had half as many minutes a Blake had and produced MUCH more!! IMO on both ends of the floor the only thing I can truly knock on Morris is his perimeter shooting.. He was confident to start off and now he has loss some confidence after that one bad shooting game... and his rotations on defense are not up to par either but his on ball defense is better than blakes and lastly his decision making is the final knock on him that I can think of... which are all mistakes young players make... look at Jrue Holiday he is turning the ball over at a waaayyy higher clip than Morris but he will continue to get minutes and continue to grow.... It takes time for these young players and we have to be patient...

Blake is playing 26 mins per game....Morris is playing 20 mins per game.

Doesn't look like half to me.

@Lakeshow805, the averages are 26 to 20 yes, but that game where Blake got injured, and didn't play 1/2-3/4 of the game, with Nash starting 2 games (so Blake was coming off the bench) made his averages lower. Were talking about when Blake started.

Morris keeps getting better with consistent minutes, hopefully he doesn't get buried at the end of the bench when Nash comes back, his defense and athleticism is needed.
