Alright, now that we see what Morris can do, who do you think should be the one backing up Nash when he returns?

You have to think Blake being the vet would get first crack at it, but given this offense and given how relatively well Morris is playing, Morris should be the backup 1 and Blake used as a spot up shooter.

Duhon was solid tonight for example and he is familiar with the system. I don't know anymore,Morris was also okay during his starting time. D'Antoni said he was trying to get Steve Blake for years but he doesn't see that he can't hit a barn door.

I say Morris, but transition should be gradual. Blake knows Kobe/Pau/Metta more so he's more comfortable out there, therefore he should be the primary backup for now.

After hearing in his press conference how much D'Antoni has always liked Steve Blake, saying he always tried to get him when he was in Portland because he'd be perfect for his offense, I can't imagine Morris taking his role behind Nash. Morris has shown improvement for sure, he looks much more comfortable out there now that he has logged some minutes. He's still inefficient though.
Hopefully he continues to progress because physically he'd be a huge upgrade, he's longer and quicker than anyone else we have at that spot.

Duhon is my first PG off the bench right now.

Morris and Blake are about equal at this point. But we have yet to see any of them fully immersed in D'Antoni's system.

I was looking for West, but out of the options we have now and mentioned, I guess I'll probably go with Blake still.

However, that's not to say I can't admit that I have actually been impressed in some portions with what Morris has given us (although still a lot of inexperienced & embarrassing mistakes out there at the same time).

Duhon, though hasn't shown too much offensively (then again hasn't shot a lot either), has at least played in control and somewhat smart for the most part. Done well with the pick & roll & knows to how to deliver a proper entry pass to Dwight Howard on the block.

Blake hasn't played like trash. Morris and Blake have both been serviceable this year. I would give the nod to Blake, but no big deal of he starts to struggle than Mike will put Darius back in there.

I say Morris, the back up PG should at least be able to do 1 or 2 things better than the main PG

CJ, this is why people have a problem with Morris; you make them hate the guy. Morris has improved but I'd say he's improved to about where Blake is right now. When you say Blake has been trash and then say Morris is improving and ignore his trash play(he has played like trash at times, he still can't even run a fast break) it makes you look like a Morris fanboy. Kind of like how Majesty was with Mike Brown hehe. I'll take Blake right now, but I'm comfortable knowing Morris is improving to the point where he could jump Blake on the depth chart.

Blake is our worst PG next to Duhon I can't stand to see him log extremely long minutes to barely get 5 assits and miss majority of his shots I just don't understand the love for a player who has played horrible for years

I don't come down hard on Morris when he has bad games because he is still learning and is still improving ,but blake is 30 + and he will not improve what you have been seeing is what you will continue to get... smh

Morris is still a scrub who can't shoot the ball, I'd rather play Blake because he is basically a good spot-up shooter who can effectively spread the floor.

Blake and Morris will both get time in it depending.

D'antoni has been after Steve Blake for years so he must see something he can work with in the offense.
