I've got to see a few more games but I'm extremely disappointed in Pau defensively...

Despite Kobe's many FT attempts, he's still not getting as much love & respect as he deserves tonight imo.

Give it time GCMD.

Rash decisions and knee jerk reactions won't work this year. Patience is a virtue with the roster.

And so many were hesitant about Dwight, hilarious. The guy is a frickin force even at 50%. Shaq with heart and a work effort. And he is just getting into his prime.

One encouraging factor is that the Lakers are taking care of the ball. That's something they didn't do before, even against bad teams. Also, Howard's stamina is clearly not there yet, but that will come with time.

PHO made the adjustment to their help D. Before, they left Pau. After, they didn't. He wasn't wide open any more...

It's not like they were gonna' leave him absolutely wide open at that same spot the whole game. Phoenix is bad defensively, but no team would be stupid enough to keep repeating the same exact mistake over & over throughout the whole game.

Pau should've and could've got himself more involved in plenty of other ways, but more importantly, if he's not gonna' give us much on the offensive end throughout the course of a game, he could at least help us tremendously if he could give a better effort on the defensive end.

Offensively, I know Pau's going to be fine...basketball IQ is too high not to thrive in this system.
Defensively, I've held my tongue...he hasn't played well with Dwight being aggressive as an anchor. We won't be able to win like that. If we are going to depend on Dwight to protect the rim, we can't have his guy stroll and get easy baskets because someone (Pau) didn't help the helper....

lol Bernie kept the starters in to try for Tacos :laughing:


Crowd should chant "Thank you Bernie"

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.


You should reach more often ;)
