Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant is walking in United Way’s HomeWalk Saturday and wants you to join him – or at least help support the effort.

40% of the homeless are women and children; 24% are chronically homeless
62% of the homeless population are unsheltered, living on the streets or in cars
Local families now represent the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population
Permanent housing with supportive services has a proven success rate of 85%
HomeWalk will take place this Saturday, Nov. 17 at Exhibition Park in LA to raise public awareness and fund solutions to end homelessness.
In the past, the United Way 5K has $2.2 million dollars, helping 12,000 previously homeless people in L.A. move into permanent housing. This year, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is will matching every donation of $100 or more, hopefully leading the walk to raise the most money yet.
