His decision will depend on how the season ends. Another frustrating 2nd round loss would be the confirmation of his departure to another team.

I think that's a bit ridiculous. Where would he go that he could feel 100% confident that he would do any better? Maybe he doesn't re-sign, but to say that he won't because the first year on his new team they only make it to the firdt round? I think that's a bit of a knee jerk.

Howard may entertain free agency a bit for ego sake, but he will re-sign with the Lakers.

This is about as close to a guarantee as you can get.

More money, prestige and chance for winning with the Lakers than anywhere else.
