I think it'd be interesting to get a running thread where people estimate how confident they feel that Dwight will resign based on what the situation and events surrounding the team are at that moment. Even if not significantly, I think all this controversy has hurt us some. I'd say right now there's an 80 percent chance he resigns.

75% sure he will be back.
He seems to love LA as well as all the spotlight and opportunities LA offers.
Not to mention it is the Lakers. Unless the wheels fall off this team he will be back imo.

Only team he would bea able to sign with really is the mavs. I thiink LA has shown they are willing to to the extra mile to win. He will stay.

Very useless to speculate right now. We have to see how the season ends.
The better the Lakers finish and how they look into the future will determine if he re-signs or not. I think the Lakers can help their chances by bringing in a really good young player into the fold that Dwight can play with into the future. Probably the only way the Lakers can do that is to trade Pau. I know it's speculated that the Lakers plan to have all this cap space in 2014, but I think it would still be more helpful to at least have a bird in the hand.

Where would he go? Maybe Dallas I guess but that's not even too appealing at this point. As long as this season isn't a disaster I think he'll stay, winning cures all.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

You just pessimistic or do you pick up some "vibes" he's throwing out that most of us are missing? Do you see the commercial over and over that airs on Time Warner with Backstage Lakers with Dwight super excited and at a loss for words looking at the banners/jerseys/trophies with Mitch? That is one dude who will most likely not go anywhere assuming we don't flat out suck this year.

I can't see him leaving LA. He knows we're the best franchise around and always dedicated to putting up a contending team. I also don't think he wants to be a bad guy again and leave like he did with Orlando.

Last couple games his body language hasn't been too happy IMO, seems annoyed by Gasol and Kobe at times. Probably annoyed at how many touches his been getting.
