We don't NEED his offensive talents because the offense takes care of everyone.
Yes, Hill should start if we want to play both sides of the ball...because he provides both energy, defense and the ability to finish strong around the rim. He also has the ability to hit the mid-range J with about the same consistency as Pau. He has better chemistry with Dwight. He's a GREAT offensive rebounder which is EXTREMELY important if we are going to increase the pace of the game...it's a part of the defensive scheme that will help us lower the opponents FGAs and possessions per game allowing us to increase our scoring while maintaining a modest Opponent PPG. He plays with an intensity that is infectious on the defensive end. He should start.
Will he? There are about 20 MILLION reasons Pau will start and Hill won't.
Pau is talented...no doubt. He would probably be an important cog on another team in another offense. In this offense, aggression and intensity/focus are CRUCIAL...those are NOT Pau's strong points.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

Can't afford to have a 20 million dollar bench player. I don't think Hill and Howard can play together consistently because neither can space the floor. Pau can. He's an excellent mid range shooter who has simply been off this season so far, but he shot pretty well last night. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
He's been off for 3 years now, but still no I wouldn't put Hill over Pau, Do I want Pau to be traded? HECK YES

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

But.. we may have to start Jamison instead at the 4 with Dwight and pair up Gasol and Hill at the 4 and 5 with our bench. At this point I'd do that

'Throwin down'? Why is that so shocking or out of the ordinary. It's really not as far-fetched or bad of an idea as some of you may tend to think.Horry throwin down.
Wants Pau off the bench.

I didn't like his answer. Hill has proved he has earned PT and he is not the reason why things needed to be changed up.

Hill needs more minutes. I don't care how at this point, he NEEDS to be on the floor. Rebounding, post play, energy, hustle. He can bring it all. I hope MD isn't trying to pull some bull[expletive] with Hill's minutes.
MD isn't but the problem is that playing Hill with Howard doesn't seem to stretch the floor enough and Hill isn't as dependable as an offensive thread.
IF Hill is going to get consistent minutes(and keep Jamison from playing the 3)
Then we'd have to put Jamison at the 4 with our starting lineup to pair with Dwight and then we'd have to put Gasol as our bench 5 with Hill at our 4.

Yeah, heard it all as well. Not encouraging one bit.Anyone see what MD said right now about Hill playing only 4 minutes?

On the positive though, good to see that he blasted Pau deservedly so.
