As long as he isn't a complete sieve defensively I'm fine with the signing. Wish we could get rid of our end of bench fodder, too many guys collecting a paycheck while not contributing anything at all.

I love my basketball but who the hell is Honeycutt?
He's a second year 2nd round Rookie that plays for Sacremento he's a long athletic wing player who is athletic and can shoot but hasn't got minutes do to the jam at the small forward..... and I'm starting to question the kings coach.. when he bench Isaiah Thomas the other day smh... another good player in a bad situation

who the [expletive] is honeycutt? pietrus is a veteran, good defender, 3 point shooter, would be ideal at the 3 off the bench
and played like [expletive] last year and your point is?

We don't have the time to work on a project player picked up in the 2nd round. Youth is nice to have, but we don't have the time to develop Honeycutt and wait for him to somehow blossom into a contributing player.
at this point I'm really just tired of all the old players on the roster and would desperately want young players that can finish at the rim and shoot... and I know I'd rather have a young player looking for something to prove than a player who has played poorly the last few seasons

You don't gamble on youth just for the sake of potential, that's just foolish.

We're not the Bobcats, we have a championship window and you don't maximize that by picking up project players. We have no use for Tyler Honeycutt right now. Banking on him to prove himself doesn't do anything for us because if he doesn't, we're left with another roster space occupied by a useless player.

but their aren't anymore quality veterans left... and we keep giving money to these 30 year old players and they don't play defense and they might hit a few shots here and there but are not consistent... I think yesterday was Jamison's only good game all season... I don't have much faith in Jamison being a factor after seeing his past few games... we've probably had too many vetrans come here and not produce anything.. ex. Theo Ratliff, Troy Murphy, Steve Blake, and more...

Pietrus does play defense.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

didn't Real Deal own you on why Pietrus would be a good fit? you're still against it or what haha
Instead of being up real deal's ass how bout you go do some research on Pietrus and tell me if you want him on the team instead of just reading post smh

I'm leaning towards Honeycutt as well, we need a young athletic guy who can take it to the hole and jump start offense on fast breaks. Even just some fresh legs would help us not get killed on transition D. Pietrus was very good with Orlando, but he was really lacking last season in Boston, why do yo guys think he hasn't been picked up? He wants more than he's worth. Plus, every decent shooter we get somehow starts to suck when they get to LA, that combined with his poor shooting as of late makes me skeptical of Pietrus.
THANK YOU!
