I wonder where everyone gets the idea we can land younger guys for Pau if those younger guys haven't requested a trade to the Lakers.

well considering about 90% of the league doesn't have a legitimate post player nothing is out of the realm of possibility for pau. pau is only 32 and bigs like pau last.

a team like chicago with no bigs may be willing, may not. they have no post players. boozer needs to be spoonfed, and noah as well. pau is a rare big that can create for himself and others, he's 7 foot. if you're on the cusp of contending, then pau is very attractive

If you're saying we can't post up any of those guys in half-court sets during the playoffs, I disagree. Not only will we be able to go to the P&R anytime we want, we can always give the ball to these 3 (with Dwight preferably getting deep post position first) and let them go to work.

We will be ok during the playoffs. We have too much talent and too good of a PG to not find a way to make it work.

I haven't heard about anyone being interested in Pau outside of Minnesota and they didn't wanna give us much in return, so what makes these other teams willing to pull the trigger and give us something we need?

Pau was a steal, smart teams are gonna want to rob us for him the same way Mitch robbed the Griz for him,

Unless a young talented guy comes forth and says "hey, wanna get traded to the Lakes" I hardly see
another CP3 like trade in the works but then again you never know with Mitch lol

We are in win now mode, but you may be right, if the Lakers are willing to gamble on D'Antoni I dont see why not.

The problem is making the salaries work though no?

Young guys salary don't match up with Pau's.

I don't think D'antoni will run PnR all the time like he did back in 06 with nash when you have talent like Kobe and Gasol , he should/must figure out an offense that can capitalize all four .. Its tough for him but once he figure things out it will result a chip or at least increases our chances .. Now Defense is another thing !

Agreed. The Princeton nor the Triangle will utilize all four of them correctly.
