Rambis on ESPN said Phil is a competitor a winner and did not make the demands the press was reporting. In fact he said the press was irresponsible for writing that PJ was asking to not travel with the team ect. Rambis realy seemed pissed off. This was even before the Woj article. We all know that Rambis has directly talked to PJ because he most likely was going to become part of his staff once again..

I believe Rambis..

so you say you believe rambis, then state in the same post why believing him should be difficult.

John Ireland said on the radio that Jerry Buss, not Jim, made the decision for D'Antoni

Boom

I said before. Jerry Buss wants to bring showtime back. He does not want to go back to the ordinary boring triangle offense. That is what Jerry wants. He wants people to get out of their seats and cheer.

KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.

hey quit [expletive]ing about phil he got swept by those who won the championship, if we got swept by some other dudes it would be shocking, but we were beaten by the champs that year, kobe was injured, bynum was not giving any effort so quit saying BS.

And dont forget why we hate jim buss, dude is just reminding us.

Eventhough I support dantoni I still think its a mistake, we will have a better steve nash but at what cost? His "system" never worked for a championship and we don't have players that fit that system, we will have a worse kobe, howard and gasol.

The hiring of D'Antoni really opens doors to new types of players that can come here.

One aspect is that Buss may have seen that the Heat and Thunder are successful getting out and running.

Buss has always wanted Showtime back like you said, this may be the first transition to head back that direction,

I don't know, maybe you give the ball to Nash to find either Dwight, Kobe or Pau?

Not exactly a bad roster of people to have.... Heck even let Nash shoot.

If it was truly Jerrys decision I have no problem with it. Why? Because he is the BOSS and can do whatever he wants with his money. If he wants to see Showtime one more time before his time is up, so be it. Obviously it won't guarantee a championship but it's still possible.

This is an old team except for a few young players IDK why we would try to run with such an old team

that isn't the point at all. that is an entirely different point completely. you asked what happens when the game slows down in the post season. proven wrong you decided to bring up an entirely separate issue completely

I think there's a huge misconception that D'Antoni is going to bring in that 7 seconds or less offense.

It's going to be quicker pace but I'm sure it's going to be tailored to fit this personnel.

I'd of given Phil what he wanted.

Nobody can say no to Jim Buss, not his dad, not Mitch, Phil would of brought balance to the force.

Oh well, hope this works out.

imagine if we can land deng and gibson for pau. imagine the defense/offense

dwight/ hill
artest/ gibson
deng/ jamison
kobe/ meeks
nash/ blake

so much defense it wouldn't matter who our coach is. i'd love that trade

I'm still dubious about the D'Antoni hiring, but as much as everyone wanted Phil back, we can't keep running back to him forever.

I wonder where everyone gets the idea we can land younger guys for Pau if those younger guys haven't requested a trade to the Lakers.
